  1. Vagabond- what ship? I’ve done the CT several times on different X ships and never had those problems.
I’ve only had the Classic Drink Package, told the sommelier and he served me very good wines that I suspect were better than the package I had. Never had more than 8 people at the table, so no crowding.

Unfortunately the kitchen tour has been suspended since Covid, but that’s understandable. Fellowship is hit or miss but I guess I’ve lucked out with interesting fellow diners. Going to do the CT next month on the Equinox and looking forward to the new menu.

  2. Be aware Eden is 3 levels. The mini-shows are on the Eden bar level above the restaurant, not really compatible with dining in the restaurant. Food for dining in Eden was wonderful. Top level is where the cafe is located, great for breakfast/lunch pickup (complementary). We loved all 3 levels at different times of the day!

  3. I’ve done the Chefs Table with even the Classic DP and had the Sommelier match some lovely wines to the course. On the Apex, with the CDP I’m sure he gave me better wines than were in that package!
Asking your waiter for wine selections would never get you the correct selection. That’s why X has Sommeliers. Just keep in mind, each ship/itinerary is subject to supply chain deficiencies that are constantly changing.

  4. Book it quick as the number of spaces is very limited. As sn2792 said, you will be notified on board when the dinner is to be held. Did it on the Apex back in March and thought it was worth the price.

FYI- by dessert, too full to enjoy it. The next time, I’d ask for it to be sent to my cabin as a snack later. LOL

  5. Thanks for the great pictures. Hope you get your Retreat person sorted out. I’m scheduled to be on in August for a 2 week B2B.
Would love to see some pictures of the casino 🎰🎲. Interested to know if the craps table will be open.
If you like Mayan ruins, try the River Cruise excursion in Belize. Did it in March off the Apex. Great day.

    Following your adventure!

  6. On Apex a few weeks ago, there was no traditional dining You went to any of the four main dining rooms whenever you cared to and I never had a wait. If you are in a large party you probably should make arrangements with the madre’de.

Of course we had only about 65% passenger capacity and as the numbers go up, this will probably change.

Will be on the Apex next week. Cannot find the Roll call for Feb 26th 2022 so am reaching out here.

Wifi included is it OK to surf web, download the newspaper and text? Should we buy extra for the week? We don't call or video anything, just browse, text, that's it! Thanks

We’ve got an active roll call for the Feb.26 Apex sailing. Try again to find us- we’d love to hear from you. We’re having a sail away get together at the Sunset Bar. ID yourself with some Mardi Gras beads🎉🥂🍹

  8. My concern as well about testing + before second leg. When they put you into the hotel, is X paying for everything (room and food)? Did they say you’ll get a FCC for missed cruise?

Too many possibilities- I’d say if you test - before 2nd leg within the 2 day window everyone is given, X would have to let you on by their own protocols.

At this point, 3 weeks to go and crossing my fingers for a negative test for my first leg!

  9. I’m in the same quandary. I’m getting on board Feb. 26, B2B with March 5, deck 6 very near the midship elevator by careful choice. If they move me, I’d hope to discuss with Guest Relations where the change will be and about the possible inconvenience of having to make several moves.
I’d also love to hear from anyone who has experienced this kind of cabin move.

    See you on board, Birdnutty!

  10. Thanks everyone for this info. Looking forward to the reduced attendance on the February 26 cruise.

Good information  from eroller, as I’m on Deck 6 in a single cruiser cabin and heard about that deck being used as an isolation level. It will be interesting if I get moved as I’m also on a B2B supposedly in the same cabin! Oh, the fun of cruising now.

  11. Mark.Jules-

I got an email about booking the Chefs Table on my March 5 Apex cruise and by the time I answered it the option in my Planner under Dining was already gone. With such a limited attendance, it goes really fast. A few later, I got another email about it for my February 26 Apex trip (B2B trip), and jumped on it and got my reservation in.

if you’re not seeing it in your Planner, it’s probably already booked up. In that case, wait until you’re on board and go to your dining room wait station and enquire. There might be cancellations. Good luck!

  12. Since the Chef’s Table is so limited, it was sold out when you answered the email. The category is removed from the Planner when it’s fully booked. I had the same problem on my Apex B2B for this coming February, but then got another email for the second leg and successfully booked it.

You can always ask once you’re on board. There might be cancellations or if there’s enough interest, they can add a second CT if the cruise is long enough. Good luck!

  13. Anyone know if when you’re on a B2B, you have to check in anyway for the second leg when check in opens for everyone? My first leg check in for Feb. 26, Apex has already opened up, but wondered about my second leg.
