Yes, you are correct, the menu is on the cruise planner under Dining Options, then going to the Pinnacle Grill. I like the Pinnacle Grill menu and usually have the small filet which has always been excellent, however it has been 2 yrs since my last cruise. I'll be going in June and will compare.
Hello
I've been looking for the area with the Menus of the various dining rooms.
Is the Cruise Planner on the HAL site or the cruisecritic site?
Can you provide a link? Can't seem to find that area of the new menus.

All Great feedback.. Don't mind paying the extra fee if the food is unique and a cut above.
From the feedback the Sel de Mer is back on the table. We'll be staying in Neptune so will ask the concierge
for menu and info when we board on Sunday.
Any links to an update menu available?

Thanks for your feedback.. Your food philosophy is very profound...:)
I like a very good ribeye steak..The DW loves Crab Cakes have also looked at some of Rudi dinner menus from past reviews.
Maybe leaning towards Pinnacle unless a Rudi reviewer steps up.

Sailing Oosterdam May 5th to Alaska
Have read very positive reviews of the Pinnacle Grill.
Have read less stellar reviews of the Special Rudi Dinner.
Looking for recommendations of where to dine... Are both equally as good.. Visit Both during the cruise?
-
Have the menus to Pinnacle or Canaletto changed since your previous cruise HAL menu pictures?
-
Congrats on your upgrade to Neptune Suite
Have you tried the Pinnacle Grill breakfast for Neptune Suite guests?
What are hours of the breakfast?
Any chance of a scanned menu?
We are on the Osterdam to AK this Sunday.

Great teaser pics.. Obviously you spent time documenting your trip.. Hope you got restaurant/Entree pics.
Keep the pics coming.
If you can document your pics with one link would be great.

We enjoyed Concierge Level on the Marina. All in all the value from the benefits of concierge level were good for us.. Needed fulltime wifi, access to Spa. The Lounge concierge Leizel(sp?) was very good. She had lots of info and was very helpful. Lounge is quiet and we used it a few times before 6AM.

We're on board the Marina now on the Feb 25th Tahiti cruise...Cruise is wonderful and all areas of service, food and entertainment exceptional.
We have reviewed the positives to booking a Future Deposit on board. Is there any downside to this?
Sounds like it's a no brainer... We have 2 years to book a cruise..$250 deposit. 100 OBC. In the event we don't take a cruise in 2 years can be refunded?

Am sitting in the Concierge Lounge on Marina Papette cruise right now.....Service is free for Concierge members... Internet speed is fine even for business use.... Early morning best times.. probably till 7am. Actually like the upper decks Horizon but they are cleaning the espresso machines before 5AM today.

Thanks for the updates...........Great News.....we're packing our sunglasses. .

So are we. Years of extensive travel experience. We know enough to not sail to Alaska in April/May but Tahiti in Feb/March trip of a lifetime.
Glad we're on a foodie cruise....... If it rains we'll eat.....

We' in a veranda room also but on deck 7. I hope this picture I found of a veranda room opens up for you. Looks like there is some coverage.

Thanks CoColab....I've never seen that picture good to know.....Warm rain isn't going to spoil her morning coffee..

We have a room with a Veranda Room on Deck 9....Is there coverage to be out on the Veranda during the rains?
My wife enjoys her morning cup of coffee./OJ on the Veranda....that was her bday present from me but I forgot to consult the rain gods.
..... let's see if it plays out this way.

Can you give more detail on the Passport Card. In my research I see limited use for a passport card on using it to gain country entry or air travel.
Would this have accelerated the replacement of your passport during your ordeal?
-
Interesting post regarding the handshaking.... were you able to find any hand disinfectant that would kill noro from a handshake?

Jane
Curious if you disembarked at all the ports during this situation. Was it easier to be off the ship?

Very informative post. Thanks for posting this. There is so much details to these stories.. I wrote up mine and could have made it twice as long. Not enough stories about the specific insurance situations and submitting a claim and how the insurers deal with the claims.
What was your out of pocket extra expense and were you fully reimbursed? It sounds like you were mostly but lost out on computers and jewelry?
I was trying to understand the steps needed on Mon. AM at US Embassy to get a passport issued so quickly. What was the timing. So seems like you went from US Embassy to CPH and flew to Bergen after getting passports.
Also have never heard of a passport card.. will look into that.
Thanks Again

Thank you for your well wishes. We're getting very excited for the cruise.... I guess you could call it "guarded excitement"

This is a continuation of the story.. Took me awhile to write it up. Lots of details but we're on home stretch to make the cruise now.
I have specific insurance questions. Wish I could keep the storyshort but it goes along with the questions.
We were booked on Oceanic Feb 25th cruise.. All paidand ready to go.
We found out in Sept that our daughter waspregnant with her second child... wonderful news…..March 17th duedate....back from Cruise and then off to spend time with new grandson. Agrandparent’s life of bliss.
A few weeks ago our daughter’s pregnancy turnedinto a high risk pregnancy. She was diagnosed with placenta accreta. This was apotentially life threatening situation. She lives in the Netherlandswith her Dutch Husband. The Due date with a higher risk C Section wasmoved up to March 6th.
So then we cancelled our cruise on Jan 16thand proceeded to file an insurance claim.
I read some of the small print in the Allianzpolicy. Pregnancy is not covered but complications from pregnancy are with theright kind of letter from the doctor. However the doctor in Holland would not fill out the physicians form. She only wrote a letter to my daughter in Dutch explaining the situation at thetime which led to the diagnosis
Our daughter had more specialty doctorappointments and a follow-up MRI… On Jan. 23rd our daughter receivednews from the doctor that the situation was not as severe as initially wasdiagnosed. She still is under careful watch but the situation is now not lifethreatening. . The C-section is now scheduled for March 17th.
So then we asked/begged Oceanic to let us backon the cruise… After 4 NO’s from them we found the right people and contacts toask and we are BACK on the cruise.
Pregnancy is going good and we’re getting veryexcited. We of course cancelled the insurance claim.
We booked the cruise under Chase INK Sapphirewith is Member Card Services backed by Allianz.
At this late point in time should we look for asupplemental policy or in case anything goes wrong.
We do have the backup trip cancellation/interruption insurance from the Chase Sapphire credit card.
Pinnacle Grill or Special Rudi Dinner?

Thanks... I see where it is.. they close online booking 3 days before the cruise and I did find some menus. we called HAL. They said go early to board at 11:30am on Sunday Once on the ship book your specialty dining early and you'll get the reservations
before the 1pm cruisers come on.. Have you done that before?
