  1. Any idea if this cruise will have wine packages?

Any idea when formal nights are scheduled?

Don't know your itinerary. On our recent 15-night/16-day cruise, there were 6 ports of call, and one full day Panama Canal transit. The formal nights were on the 2nd, 10th and 14th day at sea. Assuming you have the same cruise and you start on Feb 19, the formal nights may be on Feb 20, 28 and March 4.

  2. The noise I cannot tolerate when trying to sleep is the thumping bass of very loud music. if the Universe Lounge is mostly unused or empty after 11:00 I can deal with any noise from there prior to going to sleep.

The only time out of the recent 15 day cruise that there was a production show at the Universe Lounge was the "On the Bayou" (with singing, dancing, orchestra) during ONE night, and there were two shows respectively at 6.45pm and 9.30pm. Other times there was no loud music in the evenings at this lounge.

  3. We were off from a 12/6 to 12/21/17 Panama Canal cruise (LAX to Fort Lauderdale) on Coral. Didn't notice if the Sanctuary was open also on port days. But did note that all on-board shops were closed when we arrived at ports until the ship set sail again - if this info helps. Also noticed on sea days, there were almost always no people at the Sanctuary.

  4. We returned from the 12/6 - 12/21/2017 Panama Canal cruise on Coral. On the morning we were about to enter the first lock, the door that opens up to the very front of the ship on Caribe Deck (Deck 10) that is normally locked was open to public. We found that from 5.30am onwards people already started to gather there. It was an exciting anticipation especially to wait and experience passing through the first lock. However, since there are three locks, and the entire process would take the most part of the day, don't worry if you find you can't get the "best spot". There will be openings later throughout the day; and in other parts of the ship that you could still view what's happening. Some people like to stay and watch from inside the Horizon buffet restaurant which is at the very front of the ship - It's comfy with air-condition and no Panama humidity - but you may not be able to take super good pictures through the tinted glass. Other times you can still sit comfortably on the Deck 7 Promenade and enjoy the great views of the huge man-made Gatun Lake when the ship is not going through any of the three locks.
