Just got off the Encore on Sunday. Smoking was allowed in the casino when open on Deck 7, in the smoking box port side on Deck 8 (many were smoking outside the box on deck in front of it), and on the third day they opened an area on Deck 16 near the Waves bar for smokers. The Haven sundeck smoking area on Deck 19 was closed the first two days due to high winds but reopened when winds died down. The area on Deck 16 was glass on one side but open to pool area/Waves bar so that worked out fine. The smoking box on Deck 8 has no ventilation and was always crowded.

I do hope this is true for all future sailings. There's four in our group who smoke who are not real happy about our cruise next week. That would be great!!!

Back from the Encore...
To answer so some of the posts since Wednesday:
- Steff79, no, there´s no bar inside the theater
- yes, this is the new somking lounge on the Waterfront and the inside photo is mine (I posted it as I follow this thread and thought I need to post an answer to this discussion)
- The Onda Menu is not the whole menu. It was the menu for a special event on Wednesday night. I had the pleasure to be there too.
Let´s talk about prices... We were told
Kart - 15 USD for a single ride
Galaxy - 7 USD for a single play
Laser Tag - 10 USD for one game
There are passes for the race track and the Galaxy Pavilion. I think it was 199 USD for a whole week race track. For the Galaxy Pavilion there are hourly passes and weekly ones.
It will take me a bit more time to get through my almost 2 K pics and get them online. It´s not my goal to be the first one ;-).
All in all... a very nicely designed ship. Some slight changes in the cabins compared to the Bliss. Still no USB ports at the vanity desk - only the ones in the bedside lighting.
As for food pictures on IG... Garden Café and Main Dining Rooms had special event menus. So do not expect an abundance of crab legs on a regular cruise. There was even Surf & Turf on the first night with lobster... We had prearranged dinners in Le Bistro and Onda plus a lunch tasting with almost all specialty restaurants.
Wishing Doug a great cruise! And if you have any questions...
Is there a smoking area on the Haven sundeck? (Please no comments about smoking, just looking for information).

Personally I like the chandelier! It reminds me of roses. My only complaint is that seeing pictures now of the rest of the ship, it doesn't seem to fit in with that sleek, modern vibe. But I will take pictures in front of it regardless. 😁

But I agree, the ship looks amazing.
I agree. It's definitely UGLY. To me it looks like someone forgot to remove the packing wrap from it! Just my opinion.

It means older, more mature, retired. I agree with Cruiser Bruiser and Racism has nothing to do with it.
I resemble that remark!!! LOL

I asked if there was outside smoking since there was no Spice H2O on the Encore. That was the response Norwegian gave me so I don't know about the casino. Guess we'll have to wait until the ship actually sails to get "real" answers as to where one can smoke.

Just sent a message asking information on where to smoke on Norwegian Encore. Norwegian replied that there will be 2 places …(1) Humidor (no cigarettes, no vaping); (2) Smoking room portside on Deck 8. There will be 3 smokers in our group....one place indoors for the whole ship??????

Booked a cruise on the Encore in Feb 2020. Does anyone know if the new NCL terminal at the Miami port will be open then?

Forgot to add that after the cruise, I sent an email to Norwegian about the smoking situation and received a response from them within an hour. Please keep complaining after your cruises about the restrictive smoking areas. That is only way it will ever be changed.
