  1. Our original cruise was cancelled last August, we chose the future cruise credit option with the onboard credit $300 ( 5day cruise). So we rebooked for upcoming Dec, which was just cancelled, again I am choosing FCC and the extra $300 onboard credit.

My question,  will the onboard credits stack, so with 2 cancelled cruises, when we FINALLY get to cruise we have $600 or will it just be one onboard credit? Yes once I finally rebook, I will definitely ask carnival, but just wondering if anyone has info now?

  2. I was just looking to see what would be happening to the gift cards I used to pay off my cancelled cruise. Im forever optimistic eventually I will cruise onboard a carnival ship.

Now how will they refund my $$ from gift card, will they send me a new gift card?

It looks like I got the cash part back of one of my cancelled cruises, but not the gift card part. Also, how will I see my cruise credit for the cruise I rolled over for future cruise credit & onboard credit?

    Thanks,

If the cruise is not cancelled, then Carnival could very well adhere to the current cancellation terms as stated in the current cruise contract. It's a valid question though, and I venture to say that no one knows what the correct answer is. Soooo.....

Why don't you call Carnival and pose that question to them?  And let us know what they have to say?

I actually just got off the phone with carnival about this same scenario kinda.....we want to book another room for august cruise for our son & wife, but are concerned about all the current issues, etc.....well pretty much they are using their standard cancellation policies...........seems NCL and I think RCCL are offering modifed up to 48 hours before cruise to cancel for at least future cruise credit. We just dont know if we want to chance spending $$$ if mask are required and son/wife dont cruise.

6 feet is too much.  That's not what's happening in restaurants and casinos. It's not going to happen on a ship. I could see them saying every other deck chair. Every other seat. Every other table. They aren't going to keep people 6 feet from each other. See the lines in a circle K where everyone is supposed to stand? they aren't 6 feet apart. More like 3 feet.

exactly and I truly would like to understand how at places at Lowes, where I have never consistently ever seen lines waiting to check out and now to enter the store is helping keep people sx feet apart. I am now closer to people at this store then I have ever been in the past, as people are being made to congregate not only outside the store, but inside in one big line starting at one spot until directed to next available check out .  Once on ship, I do not see how 6 feet can be enforced all over everywhere throughout cruise.

  5. received text alert for carnival dream sailing 1/25/20 that USCG has temporarily closed the channel for marine traffic while they conduct salvage operation for submerged vessel, which may impact sailing. Expected update at 9 am CST.......anybody hear anything? I googled but am not finding any info.

    Hotel Reef Yucatan

This does look nice.I cannot tell from the pictures for sure, but is there direct walk from beach into the water access? I know we have been places where you must climb down a ladder from a wall to reach water and cannot enter directly from the beach.

  7. So it turns out that I only used points to have points pre paid for one person not two...im not sure why this isn't allowed but Barclay said it's not. They told me that "carnival rejected it" back in July but nobody told me. Thank God I looked into this 3 month's before my cruise because the process of getting my 9600 points put back onto my account may take 45 days.

Now I am even more concerned that I screwed up or something didn't process as I thought for our cruise. I thought I picked to redeem for prepaid gratuities for both of us, but really unsure what i did. Barclay is still showing 9600 points redeemed for the pre paid gratuities, however it is still showing as processing. What does that really mean. We are back from our cruise already. I am currently working on a double hotel charge dispute, so have not even attempted to find out about the points.

  8. Just back from Valor XMas cruise, first time with cheers. I wanted to purchase, it was more "affordable" to do so. My husband wasn't as interested, he basically drinks corona. But my personality calculates constantly what I am spending onboard, cheers liberated me. I do not feel we drank very much at all, but my drinks were from the Alchemy bar, Sangria from Serenity and then wine in dining room. For me, I felt just ordering 4 drinks a day made it worth it for me, plus a couple of sodas and chai tea in the morning. My husband, definitely got his "money" out of it. He drank his usual beer, but tried the Alchemy bar , not to mention spiked coffees, milkshakes and soda. What was very nice for me, was I wasnt afraid to order something and not like it. We both tried bloody marys, and did not like them at all...........being on cheers, it was no big deal. Now for a longer cruise, where the package cost would be nearly double, it will depend on how far in advance we book, what money saving ways I come across ( like buying the discounted carnival gift cards and use them to buy cheers), etc. But overall, if we can afford to buy it, I think we will in the future.

  9. We used for our Valor Xmas cruise. I took my confirmation with me to be safe.....well we never received anything indicating the gratuities were paid beyond the redemption confirmation. And we were charged on our sail & sign account for gratuities. We went to desk, explained and showed the confirmation. They removed them no problem. However I was and now still am concerned the staff never received gratuities. I checked my card when we got back, it is showing under redemption, but not as complete. Instead it shows as in process. I am not sure what that means, but it shows the cruise they were redeemed for, all info is correct. So......I am watching and will be checking with credit card company.

  10. Just got off the phone with Carnival, offered a balcony upgrade deck 11 from our deck nine interior for $200.00 for our short 4 night cruise on the Valor tomorrow.

Sadly ( kinda), I did not take it. I know it was a great price, but we already bought the cheers package, excursions, etc. With the cruise being so short, I just don't think we will get the use. She seemed surprised, but this was a very last minute booking, but hey I am cruising tomorrow!

  11. I am flying into DFW ( I have family in Texas that are cruising with me), night before our Valor cruise. My flight gets in 9:30pm, and we plan on at least starting the drive to Galveston Port. Suggestions on what area to stop for the night? No one is familiar with the area at all. I figured we should plan on stopping before Houston/Galveston. Or would you suggest driving entire way and not getting hotel til I guess 2 am time frame? We have a later check in, 1:00pm, although I am platinum, so have priority boarding.
