Thank you everyone for your input here.  I will talk later to my TA but I think I will have to pay the extra.  I did rebook to make sure family is all together on same flights and it’s comforting that is okay.

i should have caught my error earlier, but I was negligent in keeping on top of this.  Was unwell for a bit of time and Cruising wasn’t my priority.  

So so after a sleepless night and beating myself up for my carelessness, putting it to rest.  It’s only money says hubby ha!  Thanks again.

Help please.  I booked Princess Ez Air last year for cruise in July.  I chose Flexible.  Final payment is next week.  As I was looking over flights to see if there are any changes, I see I have the wrong departure date by two days. The date on form is the day of actual cruise.  I absolutely have to change.  I think I know what happened. Because my original fare has correct date, but when I went to take advantage of price drop, the date defaulted to actual cruise date.  I noticed this once and before changing I fixed it. 

Question, when I put in correct date I see fare is in total 600 dollars more.  Will I now be charged this extra for mistake?  I am in a bit of panic here, as offices are closed at Princess to find this out.  Any insight would be appreciated.

No, they will not see it before they board. You can order it anytime before their cruise up until maybe a week (or 3 days?) prior. They will receive a nice little note card telling them that you've bought OBC for them. It'll have your name if you wish and the amount. Very nice thing to do. :)

i think I found the correct Princess Gift area where I can give fellow travellers an obc. I can actually give them both one, so that will work nicely, however, our cruise is mot til end of December and wondering, will this be a surprise when they board? Or will they see this on their account before cruise. Thank you

You will be good to go, no fighting to get to the onboard computers to do a check-in. SW will do the check-in for you and you will be in boarding group A. This is done 36 hrs before the flight so the EB's will be checked in before the passengers doing the 24 hr check in. It is really worth the money if you don't want to waste any of your cruise time. When you get to the airport, all you need to do is pick-up you boarding pass. You can also select to do the Early-Bird check in only for the return trip. This will save some $$ if you really don't need or want it for the first part of your trip.

 

When you go to purchase you ticket online, there will be box for you to check asking if you want the EB service. You can select it round trip or only for one-way. When your credit card statement shows up, it will not be rolled in with the flight charge, it will show as an additional $10 expense- just a heads-up on that for your records.

So, just want to clarify here, by doing this Early Bird, means I will not have to brave the Internet Cafe and get printouts? When we check in South West, this info will be all done?

I posted in above sticky about Southwest opening schedule on Monday, Sept. 5 2011 through April 9.

Anyone have experience as to when this schedule will be available online on this date?

I saw on Southwest website that Sept 5 they are opening up flight schedule through to April 9. Not experienced with this, but kind of surprised they use a holiday weekend. However, is, what it is.

Anyone have any idea what time of day this schedule will be online?
