To the moderators, I would appreciate if we could make this a "sticky" at the top of the page for all to see.

 

Every week or two I will post a PDF for all the ships and cabin information compiled here.

 

Please, refrain from posting cabin questions here so this can purely be an informative thread, especially for those that are first time cruisers or seasoned cruisers looking for a great cabin.

 

The template is as follows:

 

Ship -Oasis

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 10632

Stateroom Category – J4

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

 

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Quiet no noise except normal kids running down the hallway from to time

 

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - yes--did not use

 

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –good view--no obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - good size--lounger-2 chairs--table and more room

Was wind a problem? -no

 

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -n/a

 

Any specific problems with this cabin? -none--AC was very cool--had to keep turning it warmer. lol Clean. Sofa showing a little wear.

 

Any other comments? would stay in this cabin again--had nice walk in closet with tons of hangers--roomy--roomy shower/tub.

Re-walk off time at Port Canaveral --we were on Oasis a couple of weeks ago and walked off the ship at 7 am--no waiting--no lines. Customs took 2 minutes. We were in the garage at 715 and on the shuttle.

We will have a phone & tablet pc, but don't think Labadee or Falmouth would have free internet, I'm sure Cozumel would in town somewhere, but that is at the end of the cruise.

Thanks. Not what I wanted to hear, but not surprised.

To any Oasis cruisers--does the ship have internet devices for passenger use to check emails, etc. and current rates charged for use of the devices? Only need to check emails once a day.

We are trying to avoid paying the daily Voom fees if we can avoid it.

Thanks to everyone for the advice on the corkscrew issue.

It boils down to any particular TSA agent or RCCL security person taking exception to / noticing the corkscrew and deciding it is dangerous / or not.

Such is life here in the USA. lol

My wife & I are boarding the Oasis in a couple of weeks after not cruising for 30+ years. Bringing 2 bottles of wine on board.

1 Will security take a corkscrew from your luggage / carry-on? RC says yes

2, Can we get a corkscrew from the cabin steward? RC says yes

3. Does RC X-Ray the passengers before they board the Oasis? Probably?

We are sailing on Oasis in July--first time on a cruise in 32 years--so ---do they have to decent sized to go coffee cups at any food venues you can fill up with coffee & take back to the cabin--my wife is a coffee addict and sleeps late.
