Should the 1litre of alcohol per person you are allowed to take on board be carried on in your hand luggage or put in your cases

Surely you research the do’s and don’ts of the ship before booking. If you don’t like some of the policies and rules etc sail with a different cruise line. We had our first cruise last year and researched lots of lines and decided that P&O suited us more than others. We are not posh, rich or extravagant, we saved hard for a holiday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, my 60th and my retirement, and found the Britannia to be brilliant. Loved the formal nights, yes luckily I had a tux from my retirement presentation, but if I had not got one I did have other back up suits which would have been sufficient. We enjoyed the cruise so much we have booked again for this year, same ship same cabin.

When we sailed on Britannia last year other positives were that we didn’t have to queue more than 2 or 3 minutes to get on or off the ship, didn’t have to queue or wait long for lifts, didn’t have to wait long when we wanted a table just for the two of us and even when the bars were busy it didn’t take long to get served.

Some great and honest reviews.
We were not sure we would take to cruising, but we decided to give it a go last year. After quite a bit of research and reading of reviews we chose P&O Britannia for a Caribbean cruise. It was everything we expected and more. We loved it so much we were not long back before we decided to book a cruise again for this years holiday, and again booked the Britannia and even booked the same cabin. Be our first time out of Southampton so will be a whole new experience.
69 days to go

Will it be on Britannia June 15 sailing

How easy is it to get loungers around the serenity pool. When is the best time to get a lounger / 2 loungers. We are not people who want to get up at 6 putout towels and go back to bed and then return to our “saved lounger” mid morning

Excursions are now shown on our Britannia cruise starting on the 15th June

We had our first cruise on Britannia last year. We booked freedom dining as we wanted the choice of sometimes having a table for two, the cruise was for our 40th wedding anniversary. We never had to wait more than 15 or so minutes for a table for just the two of us, the pager system was brillIant. We always got a table for 2 at breakfast, probably because we were always up early.
We enjoyed the whole experience so much we have booked our 2nd cruise on Britannia for June this year and again booked Freedom dining.
enjoy your first cruise, I doubt it will be your last 😁

What I meant was from arriving at the port to boarding the ship was about 10 minutes. The actual journey from airport to ship port was about 30 minutes

Hi, our first cruise in March of this year was in the Caribbean setting off from Barbados,we booked through Thomas cook. We flew on the Dreamliner, after landing in Barbados we were shown onto a coach, drove out of the airport and straight to the port and boarded the Britannia 10 minutes later. It was completely hassle free, we were amazed how well it all went

The limelight club was brilliant. Great food and great atmosphere. We saw Gareth Gates, not really my cup of tea but had to admit I enjoyed the show.
Caribbean cruise March 2018 aboard the Britannia.

I'm not sure what to make of the Limelight Club. I think it'd have to be an act that I knew I was really going to like before I booked.
Is it the same cover charge as the other paid restuarants (ie Ocean Grill or Sindu)? -
If you are stopping at Martinique you will need euros

Hi, Britannia is a great ship. We sailed on her this year to the Caribbean, it was our first cruise. We had a balcony cabin on F deck. We found this was a great location, so much so that we have booked the same cabin for our next cruise in June 2019.
1st time on Britannia.

Hi, we are just back from our 2nd cruise aboard Britannia and like the first last year (fly cruise Caribbean) this Med cruise was brilliant. No complaints from us. We found the adults only serenity pool up on deck 17 forward, much more relaxing than the main pool areas. Food again was excellent as was service and all staff. We don’t find problems finding our way around the ship, maybe because we had a cabin on F deck at the front, had the same cabin twice and find it a great position.
our only negative comment would be that people still get away with putting towels out well before 8am and not returning to use the sun bed till 4+ hours later.
