  1. I am at the port now. Everyone in my party still needs to take an antigen test. I was told the PCR test satisfies BCL. The antigen test at port satisfies the Greek government.

With that said, the whole testing process at port is unorganized. I am negative and they give you a pink wrist band. Another person I am traveling with is still waiting. I was resulted over an hour ago. All the reps say is you have to wait. Our numbers was in the 700s and we are now in the 900s. No one can answer why we have no results.

  2. In a press release that NCL gave: Norwegian cited "a result of changes to the redeployment of our fleet," but did not elaborate on new plans for the Jewel in a statement sent to travel partners.

Might hold some validity to the list. I’m supposed to be on the Sky in September but haven’t received anything yet from NCL.

  3. Yes, guest who are in suites or in the Haven have a separate check in line. You may be escorted to your cabin by a member of the suite staff.

For tipping you will be automatically charged to your on board account for the regular tipping for the staff and the extra for the suite staff. It is recommended that you do a cash tip for the suite staff as well the last night of the cruise (room steward, butler, concierge).

  4. Hand washing with soap and water is the best way to prevent the virus. Hand sanitizes will have little impact. When I cruise I wash my hands before I enter the buffet and again right before I eat. The food might be served in a sanitary manner, but did the person in front of you wash their hands? What about the 20th person in front of you? The virus is spread by the oral route, so make sure to keep your hands clean!

  5. Hello all!

I am currently booked for a future cruise on the POA. I was wondering if anyone has used any of the reef safe sunscreens on recent trips to Hawaii as the state has banned the use of sunscreens with chemicals that harm the reefs and marine life. I burn easy in the sun and looking for a good one that has UVA/UVB protection.

    Thanks!

  6. I wasn't worried about the ship suddenly going to Cuba. Just that the ship may stop at another port either US or Bahamian or that it may skip Grand Bahama all together. I read in another post here that some tour companies aren't running the days NCL plans on being in port when in Freeport as the NCL pulled out suddenly and decided to go to Cuba instead last year.

  7. Hello all!

I am currently booked for The Sky leaving Monday. Wondering if the ship still plans on stopping in Freeport. I know in the past year the 4 day went to Cuba, but no excursions are listed on explore and plan or on the shore excursion page for Grand Bahama. I don't want to plan anything with another company to find out last minute that a change has been made to the itinerary.

  8. Same boat as you, no pun intended. Sailing out on the Sky 1/8/18. I believe they aren't listing any excursions for Grand Bahama Island, due to the Sky not going there for 2017. The Sky did stop there before, but on the 4 day cruise starting in 2017 went to Cuba instead. Hopefully they will have a list on board. You can check out Bahama Adventures. They have a private beach club. Went there in 2014. Would go again.
