  1. Hi thanks for your review. We are booked next May for the reverse sailing. We are from Oz so very worried about the cold and rain. We have done Europe and Caribbean on Celebrity so this will be really out of our comfort zone. That’s what life is all about, so very much looking forward to our next adventure. Thanks for the great info.

  2. Thanks Luke, we're doing the same itinerary at the end of October. One question, how did you find the wait for the cable car when you got to Fira, and would you rule out the walk down the path? My understanding from other posts is the walk itself is fine, but the donkey poo obstacle course is a challenge!

Hi my wife and I did the walk last year and it was fine. Heaps quicker than waiting in that hour long line. We are late 50s and other than some donkey poo, no dramas.

  3. Hi,the drinks are very expensive. In US dollars plus gratuity’s at 18%. We are also from Oz and never cruise without a drinks package. No worries about do I or don’t I have that drink. Also coffee and bottled water are included. Work on about $12 per drink but cocktails and wine are more again. Coffee about $6 Aus. Just do the maths, because only you will be able to answer the question!! For us it’s a no brainer especially when you hit the night club late at night.

  4. Hi there , we have just come off the Emerald Princess in November.

I alone purchased the drinks package , my wife is a non -drinker .

I had at least 5 cappucinos every day , many soda waters .all on the package .

My lunch at the MDR was accompanied with a couple of craft beers , onto sunbaking with 2-3 cocktails ,then a couple of top shelf martinis as pre- dinner drinks .

Dinner ,also in the MDR I ordered 2-3 white or red wines [ why buy a bottle ?] .

At the show i had 2 more cocktails , then onto the piano bar , 2-3-4 top shelf whisky's or try some rum's & gin's i have always wanted to try without buying a bottle at home .

I am a moderate drinker normally , but they wouldn't let me take my car on the ship , so it was only a short walk home !!

I recommend the package as where can you sample soooooooooooooo many different drinks at such a cheap price . if you do not like the drink that you ordered , you only have to say so & a new variety will be only 30 minutes away ,the normal time allotted between orders . enjoy ,enjoy ,enjoy . :hot-beverage::wine-glass::cocktail::tropical-drink::beer-mug::whiskey-glass:

I’m with you. You just about mirror my beverage day. I would never cruise without a beverage package which, as mentioned, includes coffee and bottled water. And no I don’t get rolling drunk, but yes, need a detox when I get home.
