  1. Actually yes I did read it and Pete’s information is also for the U.K. market!

I was just pointing out that people are always asking the same thing and the answers can be found using Search.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I didn't find the exact answer to my question while searching. Did you?

I just wanted to know if someone can do this and if they can refuse it. Simply as that.

But then a lot of people came in saying things like "you should't do this" or "you should to that". Come on. Regarding this, I think this guy nailed it:

Bottom line, want to tell other people what they should do, limit this to your family members.

Anyway, for those who tried to help me, thank you very much.

  2. Wow, a lot of replies!

Well, as I said at the first post: "Without wishing to enter into the moral question of whether it is right to pay the service fee or not (because this is a personal matter) (...)".

So, guys, I've got ver different answers. If possible, if someone that already did it (on MSC Divina, preferably) can please tell me how it went... that would be great!

  3. I believe thats your gratuity/service charge which is split between the dining staff, cabin stewards, etc. This is customary ....Of course you have the choice to adjust at guest services...but these are monies the people who serve you and service your rooms rely on for their income

I know. I'm not saying that I won't be paying it. But we're in seven adults, and at our country tipping almost doesn't exist. Anyway, I'll pay it. Even if it's a lot on our currency (it's almost half of the minimum wage).

I'm just asking in case someone that will travel with me don't want to pay it.

  4. Hello,

I am from Brazil and my family and I bought 4 cabins for the cruise MSC Divina that goes to Caribbean (departure day 01/25 from Miami). After the purchase we found out that we will have to pay a service fee of $ 12,50 per person per day.

Without wishing to enter into the moral question of whether it is right to pay the service fee or not (because this is a personal matter), I would like to know if it is possible not to pay this fee on board and if there is a need to justify the reason, and if they can refuse to withdraw the fee and etc.

    Thank you in advance!

  5. Hello folks! First of all, sorry if my english is not good.

Well, we're in a very unusual situation. We booked two cabins at the MSC Divina that depart on 01/25 from Miami to Caribbean. When we booked, we received the Mealtime Drink package included in our reservation.

Turns out that recently my brother-in-law decided to go as well, and then he bought a cabin too. But his cabin does not have the Mealtime Drink package. So, I want to know this:

    1. Do you guys know if this package can be bought on board on MSC Divina on the Caribbean destinations? It does not appear on the site. If yes, what's the price?

    2. If not or if he don't to buy it for some other reason, do you know if he will be able to sit on our table at MDR or people with different drink packages can't sit together?

    Thanks in advance!
