I wonder why they haven’t added E-gift cards again ,  it’s been a while I know I had cards lost in the mail already 

From experience on older ships the internet is slow no matter what plan you purchase and even slower on certain parts of the ships it only get decent when we get to port and ppl are off the ship  ,   On newer ships like the vista/horizon  the internet is very fast. You can even video chat. Or watch streaming videos

For those who have access to e cards I just want to know

im trying to figure it out if it’s a location thing or just customer get access 

Do you have any info on how the Hub app/chat feature works on horizon? I am looking forward to kids not being able to use internet....but I want them to stay connected to me, lol.

If you’re buying the internet package just download WhatsApp and create a group chat for the family is free rather than paying $5 for the hub app chat and besides if you close the app u won’t get the messages unless the app is running in the background , also the internet speed on the horizon is one of the best my kid watched YouTube videos FaceTime people on sea days

No, I’m sorry let me clarify I had booked a cruised and I had to cancel it they sent me a gift card for he remaining balance after the cancellation fee, They sent a couple in various denominations,

Now I forgot to mention One of them I only applied half the balance when I went to guess services it would not let me reapply the remaining balance because the system said the gift card was already applied even tho there’s balance left ( so if you’re going to apply a gift card just use the whole balance or you won’t be able to use the same one again during the cruise)

So I’m aboard the victory I went to guest services to apply another gift card for last minute purchases , I used one from a cancelled cruise it after he went tru my whole spending history and being this was gonna be my 5th gift card to be applied he went ahead and say that he had to email the accounting department to verify the gift card and that they would be the ones that will apply it , this was on the second day. We are on our final night and balance has not been applied 🤨

Or does that only apply IF you deposit cash ?

I traveled with my son alone to other countries no letter necessary , I mean it kinda makes sence I never thought I needed a letter but I’ll play it safe and have her sign a notarized letter but this is something that should be addressed before you depart NOT when you disembark

I sailed back in December solo cruise I really enjoyed i had FTTF i had no early access to my stateroom because the doors were closed but my luggage was there by the time i went downstairs, my room steward was very friendly and kept the room clean with a different towel animal each time , at the MDR i got seated quick i guess since i was alone i got seated with another group of people all friendly took pictures and took shots lol, the ship was very cleaned although it needs some work the staff is very friendly

You just gotta find the “sweetspot” basically For example I sailed on the liberty Internet won’t work good around the guess service floor but it worked super fast inside the casino

I know some in some ships like the liberty you gotta wake up at 6 am to make a line to claim your alcohol bottles. Is the same on other ships? Or do they deliver them to your room on your last night

So you are advising to break the law, and not declare you booze?

I’ve read they do not give you the forms anymore at least they did not at port canaveral but they did provided me a form once I went to secondary inspection I filled it up with no problems did not had to show receipts , they ain’t even had the correct change to return, they’re more interest in catching people bringing drugs tbh, and I asked someone that worked at the shops that only for certain purchases for example if you buy a Rolex or expensive jewelry or more than 150 bottles they have to report it so you can pay the taxes

I got stopped by customs and honestly I payed like 25 dollars I think, my girl stood behind and I went ahead they sent me to secondary inspections because they thought I guess I was traveling alone lol. , but yes I’m sailing on the horizon hopefully they deliver to the rooms and this time I don’t have to air travel lol

I was speaking with a friend about my past cruise aboard the liberty back in the December, almost all my money went into the fun shops lol, everyone wanted Hennessy white and such so i spent around 1K just in liquor bottles [emoji849]

The bad thing lol: is that you have to wake up at 6 something in the am on the last day to make a line to claim your booze I had to carry all those boxes by myself 🤣 they don’t help lol and pay extra at the airport because I was overweight

You can take an Uber or lyft. I would suggest a yellow cab but the first two are your best options, LGA is under construction so I’m sure a lot of ppl are going to get lost trying to catch that shuttle
