We are Elite as well and live in the Colleyville just down the road with no invite. I'm guessing with as large as DFW is there are a significant number of Elites within driving distance to this event. I think there must some group they have targeted for this event. It is likely that there is something in their marketing group data showing they need to work on Select members, it fits with them being the only group to get bonus points in the new Captain's Club system.

Maybe it's the "new demographic" of under 40 yr olds that they are targeting as discussed on some other threads about loud music...

Not a smart move to leave out loyal cruisers, it might backfire with a lot of bad feelings. I know we are more than a bit annoyed at the lack of an invite and I've emailed Celebrity about it...

It would be nice to hear an explanation from the official Celebrity person who posts on Cruise Critic.

I got the email as well. It seemed kind of odd so I'm double checking on CC. Glad to know it's not something fraudulant.

 

I went ahead and RSVP'd. And not to leave anyone out, the email to RSVP to was celebritydfwrsvp@gmail.com ;)

 

There's wasn't anything to fill out so I just put my name and phone number. I also am Select close to Elite and was about to book my next cruise. I think I'll wait and see if they offer me some great perks. That's all I want in life - perks!

Unfortunately we didn't receive an invite and we are Elite and cruise a lot on Celebrity...

I called Captains Club but they are unaware of this event. They even called Celebrity marketing to double check but no luck.

Any idea how we can get an invite? We live in the Dallas area and get emails regularly from Celebrity.

We are huge Celebrity fans and would love to go!

We so enjoyed your fantastic pictures and reading your cruise notes. We did a similar cruise on the Brilliance in 2007 with our teen sons and it was truly magical...
