Did they explain how/when to book the massages, breakfast, dinner....?

They say it will be delivered on the first day of the sailing so i'm guessing it will be vouchers of some sort and you have to book once on board.

Hi, we purchased the ultimate romance package for our upcoming cruise on Sept 23. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it took to receive the email to book the items in the package? I tried calling NCL and they keep saying give it some more time. How much time is enough?? It's been nearly a month and no email.

I never got a email and I sail in 3 days and booked 6 months ago.

No sorry you can not book a guarantee, if you need a HC cabin.

Not always true. Do a mock booking on the Bliss for June 16 2018 to Alaska and pick mini suite sailaway and 2 cabins will come up and the are both HC accessible cabins and you can choose which one you want.

MarineTraffic shows that she’s going to Port Angeles, Washington first before Seattle. Anyone know why?

I think she’s going to Port Angeles to pick up a Pilot before going into the Puget Sound.

Choose a category that isn't a guarantee. Then you can pick whatever cabin that is available it that category.

If it's before final payment you can do it but after final payment I don't think so.

I must have been the first to book a sailaway on my cruise on the Bliss. I was able to pick from the 4 MX (mini-suite sailaway) cabins on the ship and ended up picking 8736 which = M6 (mini-suite with large balcony). I think its all about availability.

Phone call

I would call NCL again and check that your SDP is correctly showing against your booking. If you have the 3 meal SDP and have only booked 2 meals then it shouldn’t be charging you. Something is wrong there.

Already did and spent 2 hrs on the phone with them and had them send me a amenities e-mail and everything is there.

Have you already made some other reservations? If you have free SDP credits then you shouldn’t be charged when booking, but if you have already booked three other meals then it will charge you.

 

I don’t think the booking system will know about the romance package, so it will think you just have three free meals at the moment.

 

The way to do it is to book Teppenyaki and Moderno first, then do the a la carte ones. Have you actually booked any other meals yet, or do you have 5 in your basket? If they are in your basket then I believe that removing a couple of a la carte ones should fix it. Then, when you have booked Teppenyaki go back and add those a la carte ones back in.

I've booked 2 and I can book any other but not Teppanyaki I even call NCL and they tried to charge me too and they couldn't even figure out why since it is included in the SDP package.

Because it has a cover charge, rather than being a la carte. Moderno is the same.

 

It used to be that you paid upfront for all restaurants, but now that many are a la carte they don’t know what the charge will be in advance, so they are free to reserve.

I wanted to wake reservations for Teppanyaki but don't want to have to pay because I already have 2 nights dining with the romance package and a 3 night SDP package I guess Ill have to wait to board for reservations at Teppanyaki.

Teppenyaki is $29.95 plus service charge.

 

That makes $35.34 if the service charge is 18%. The service charge has gone up to 20%, so it looks like the increase isn’t being applied against your reservation.

But why are the charging for Teppanyaki and not the other restaurants when you make reservations

Is anyone else seeing Teppanyaki is $35.34 pp to make reservations ?

I got a refund when i called Sunday and it showed in my account on Thursday.

I ended up calling NCL and upgrading to the MX 8736 (which is the same as a M6 mini-suite with large balcony but with a slightly smaller aft facing angled balcony) from my original BD balcony cabin and since none of the free at sea perks interest us we ended up saving over $1000.00 compared to the M6 next to us.

Yes, because MX category cabins actually DO exist and while they are available, you will get to "choose" one of them...still no perks, though.

Nope, they are totally different.

 

For example, try a mock booking for the June 9th sailing of the Bliss.

 

For $999pp, you can book an Inside Cabin at the Sail Away Rate...no cabin assignment, no perks.

 

For $1,149pp, you can book a category ID Inside Cabin. It comes with the choice of 1 perk, but you can't select the cabin as it comes up as a guarantee.

 

 

ALL sail away cabins are guarantees, but not all guarantees are sail away cabins.

Try a mock booking for the June 30th sailing of the Bliss and you can pick your cabin in the MX mini-suite .

sailaway cabins do not have the free at sea perks like what booking a regular cabin has. one of the free at sea perks is the free specialty dinning

I understand that but what does the sailaway categorys have to do with making dining reservations anybody can make reservations with or without free specialty dinning

Hi, So far when I sailed on Norwegian cruise ship, I did not find any problem making dining reservation at specialty restaurants on board. So pls don't worry about it.

 

The "sailaway" category guests do not have the "free specialty dining" offer, therefore I think somehow it does strike certain balance on board which there will not be overflow of guests at one location over another one. Some guests may not select the "free specialty dining" at seas also.

I'm in a sailaway and yes I don't have free specialty dining but I did buy a 3 day specialty dining package so what does sailaway category have to do with anything ?

120 days I just did mine for Aug 25 on the Bliss
