Not sure we will be at trivia. Not sure when our tour returns. But think it’s later.  We will be at the bar or show sometime tomorrow night.  Meet and a mingle is Tuesday at 10:15. We will get together one of these days.

So sorry. We were playing team trivia as well. We were The Wild Ones that came in 3rd. Just saw this post that you were goi g to be there. Our husbands are in the putting contest now.

We stayed at the ShangriLa when we were in Hong Kong. And loved it. Are you going to the Meet and Greet?  Not sure when it is. If not, maybe drinks before dinner our first day at sea? We had a friend just return from this cruise and thought it was absolutely amazing. So, hopefully, despite everything, we will too.   

We have been to Hong Kong before. So Not spending a lot of time there.  we arrive at 11:00 pm on the 16th. Staying at the Langham. Our travel partners - Nofrillsnofun- arrive a day earlier.  
 

Did you get the alert about the volcano eruption in Manila?

I understand completely. Hopefully we will still be able to meet on the ship at some time. 

One other person did. But she has made other arrangements. I can check with her again. Or we can wait a few days if you think that would make a difference.

We have someone interested in joining us in Manila - tour is only for 6. But we have room In Cambodia. We don’t have any firm plans and haven’t done a lot of research as of yet.   We could arrange to meet on the ship sometime and customize the tour.  Or could ask the guide to recommend. It doesn’t sound like Sihanoukville is the safest place but understand the govt is trying to work on that. 
 

Have you made plans in Ho Chi Minh yet?  I have heard the Cu Chi tunnels are a must.  And Mekong Delta. 
 

If we dock at Hiep Pouc is it possible to schedule one tour that includes Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta?  Silversea offers two full day tours. But TripAdvisor has a tour that includes both. Any recommendations?

I have been trying to find out exactly where we land in Ho Chi Minh. I understand there are several ports. The one farthest away Pho Mu is for the larger ships. Supposedly we are docking closer. But several calls to Silversea and i still dont have my answer. Anyone have any Info?

Think the cut off for Angor Wat was 90 days but may be worth contacting SS direct to see if it is still available.  We paid in sterling, will see if I can find out the cost as paid this as same time as another cruise so bit confusing as all in one transaction. 

 

Think drinks on  board to go though option for Manila is a good idea.

Boy did we drop the ball  on Angor Wat. We had requested info from our travel rep and he didn’t get back with us. I think it’s too late to sign up but just curious as to how much it cost. Seems a shame to be that close and unable to visit. 
 

Our  trip that’s booked is full day for $499 so about $83 pp for full day tour which seems pretty reasonable. We have two days to cancel before we arrive in port. We could meet beforehand and decide what’s important to see or discuss on Cruise Critic.

We have booked a private tour in Manila for six people and also a private tour in Sihanoukville for up to six people. Both tours we can customize or leave it up to them.

I am having trouble finding our roll call on Silversea from Hong Kong to Bangkok. I am responding to you from an email I had saved.  Just wondering if you have all your excursions booked.  We booked a private tour for 6 in Manila, so have room for two more.

Thanks for that info. We are traveling with another couple whose travel agent is handling our arrangements. We may need to set a time to meet for a drink when we get closer to the cruise.  

Thanks. Will always be a KY girl at heart - but followed grandkids to Scottsdale. May have some other questions as soon as I get all the logistics for our trip.
