We may be apart for now, but we definitely want to stay connected with you! Tune in for our exclusive new series hosted by President Jan Swartz starting tomorrow via YouTube live at 10 a.m PST/1 p.m. EST. Join Jan and the whole Princess family — we look forward to seeing you soon. And there's still time to get your questions in! Just email princessconnects@princess.com to submit.

When I received the above email to join this event my understanding was that Princess (Mrs. Swartz & others) would answer some of the questions that we all obviously have. As suggested (see above in red), and as mentioned on this tread, I am sure questions were asked.

As this whole pause is caused by the Covid19 pandemic I can not believe that there were not many questions asked about Covid19 and/or Refunds. Therefore I was hoping for some answers on those subjects. Oh well, maybe next time.

OMG I am LMAO.  I read your keep your kids safe statement completely wrong. It was a quick glance. I thought it said Keep your kids safe donate them to the children's hospital.

I don't know the answer but have a question similar. We booked three cabins. Either way is Carnival cancels or we cancel with the insurance do all three cabins need to take the same offer or can two ask for a refund and one FCC?

Got my answer and my cancellation email this morning.  All is good they are even refunding the VPP insurance.

  3. I just checked mine and ours is $180 per person less and there are 7 of us. But my concern is all the cancellations and travel advisories. If I refare I get a nonrefundable room credit. I have the Vacation Insurance Protection, and my husband is over 70 so we may be opting out on health reasons. I cant get thru to anyone to find out what the best option would be. And I am fairly new to Carnival. Made the booking myself. Sent an email now just waiting. But I don't know when we need to cancel or rebook by.

There are no receipts and no charges. The 18% gratuity is included in the promo. Order a beverage, nothing more to worry about. Cash tipping is not required nor is it expected. In my way of thinking if you wish to provide an additional tip to certain waiters that served you all cruise long feel free to do so. If done we would do this at the end of the cruise. But, nothing is required.

Which is sooo very much better than the promotion that Norwegian runs as you are responsible for the gratuities/tax on their promotion.

  5. I sailed to Hawaii this past February 15 nights. Something to consider if you are on a lot of open seas it was quite rough at times. Trying to work out in the class format was almost impossible. We were tossing and turning and trying to balance. We are all 60-62, difficult but quite humorous.  Some other elderly folks couldn't do it.

We have been on Princess cruises up to 28 days and have always had enough hangers which as pointed out are wood.  The DW takes most of the hangers of course and have never had to ask for more.  Additional hangers can be requested from the cabin steward but they will be wire hangers like what the laundry/dry cleaning provides on the ship and at home.  Luckily my tshirts, shorts and jeans don't have to be on hangers.  Now if I could just get the ship laundry to stop ironing my jeans.

Thank you for this. We leave in a few weeks for 15 nights. I have a different dress for every night and day. :classic_biggrin:

  7. I'm doing this in a few weeks. 28 days to sailing! Thanks for all the info. I cant get anyone anywhere in Princess to give me info other than what is posted on the web page. I'm uber anal about planning and want to know everything in advance. This has helped. I tried emailing the wedding email but it is only for weddings. I have tried every day since 1/12 to call the wedding coordinator line but the mailbox is full. I guess I just have to be patient.  😭

  8. Thank you Kartgv. We do presently have a car reserved for Hilo and Maui, but not yet Kauai. We were going to do something on our own like a kayak tour or jet boat tour to Na Pali but EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday. And when I went back on the Princess site for excursions the ones I would be interested in are sold out or waitlisted. I had no idea that so many businesses would be closed on a Sunday when a cruise ship is in port.

  9. I booked my February 2019 cruise back in January 2018 over a year in advance. I paid it off in November even tho final payment wasn't due until 12/11/18.  The cyber sale offered a better price of $1400 off my original price. I did call and they did refare me.  However when the new Anniversary Sale came out the following week, my sailing date even tho it was in the advertised time frame of 2/19 - 5/20 it was not available to me. So did I get a lower fare after paying in full, yes. But it might have been since it was before final payment REQUIRED date.

I was checking online and for my cruise the fare is $300 more per person, but I would get free gratuities and $400 room credit. So it appears like a $500 plus for me. Going to call to verify.

Well I called them. Even tho the advertisement says February 2019 - May 2020 our particular sailing is NOT included in the sale. I tried being assertive and saying it doesn't say that it's only select sailings but they said sorry no can do.  I got a great rate on my room. I booked last year on the anniversary sale, but reshopped the fare just last week to save $1400. So while I would have liked an additional savings of $500 I'm not complaining, I'm going to Hawaii!!
