Good grief. Some people will be elite snobs anywhere. I’ve been on many cruises and wouldn’t care if I were elite or first timer. Who cares. It’s the cruise, the ports, and the enjoyable people I meet. I can ignore a snob on a ship or anywhere else. The experience I have had certainly doesn’t show any more snobs in the elite category than any where else.
