There are photographers on every Princess ship - lots of people get specially dressed to pose for pictures - particularly on “formal” nights.

While there should be no problem bringing your wedding dress (and, presumably, having your husband bring whatever he wore), it does strike me as weird to actually wear the dress while getting on and off the ship — why would you want to do that?

The reason why I said that is because i would love to take some pictures not only on the ship... but on the beach as well. And Im not sure how that would work.

Or how I would find a photographer that would take pictures--- not on the ship only.

    If that makes any sense.

  2. I got married a few months ago, but our photographer... lets just say, I cried after I saw our wedding pictures.

My husband and I are planning on going on a princess cruise this summer, and I am wondering would it be stupid to take my wedding dress and have my husband dress up, and take a few nice pictures on the beach?

Also, who would be a photographer? Is there people that are photographers?

This would be our first cruise.

    Would this be weird?

Would it be weird getting off and on the cruise ship in a wedding dress, but not having an actual wedding there?

  3. My husband and I were talking and for example carnival... asks you before you check out if you want to pay the tips before you cruise. We were thinking about that and he’s the type of person that he has to tip someone cash.

He says he doesn’t like the idea of paying now and when people actually bring us food or clean the room or help us with bags or anything else he doesn’t like not giving anything.

He says he wants to give them cash.

Is that ok? Will they be upset?

  4. When looking at a ships information... I came across Included Dinning. Does that mean everything in those restaurants are free of charge right?

And then we saw specialty dining. Which would be dining that has to be paid for separately?

    Correct?

Sorry, might be a stupid question.

But When I open a menu to take a look. At the top, it just says Cover Charge $25 per person

Lists a bunch of prices and thats it. What does that mean?

  5. Alright!!! With the million questions I had. I think I made up my mind... Husband told me to choose a cruise for our honeymoon. I have really been looking at the Caribbean Princess. :)

I had one person tell me that Caribbean Princess isn't for honeymoons. Its mostly for an older crowd. Is that true? Also, if you have been on the Caribbean Princess before (because I know many of you have) please tell me about it. Did you like it?

I hope I dont annoy all of you with some of my questions. Im so new to this. But I love planning.

And while planning, I have millions of questions. But you all have been so amazing and helpful!!! Thank you!!!!:hearteyes::hearteyes::hearteyes::hearteyes::hearteyes:

  6. Ok! Now I understand! You all are amazing! See what I was thinking that they maybe change $50 per day or something like that per person. But if it’s up to $20 that’s not bad. I also wanted to give cash tips to people who I felt like gave us good service. So that’s why I was asking. But I’m glad I know now. Auto tip stays on :) and additional tips when I feel it’s good.

  7. Why pay cash when it gets charged to your card and you can earn more credit card points. Tip cash for extra service.

That’s a good idea. Do they charge a lot daily?

  8. I always see people saying that gratuities are charged on a card daily and automatically. What if we want to pay cash for all tips? Is that possible to not have them charge automatically. Or maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about. [emoji847] so please explain to me how that works. Thank you!!!

  9. We are planning on going to the Caribbean, with my husband.

I’m a Naturalized US Citizen. I have a passport. Citizenship Certificate. And my birth certificates in Ukrainian language because that’s where I was born.

Now my husband only recently came here on a K-1 visa. We got married here and he received his green card and social security. He has a passport but it’s Ukrainian. And his birth certificate is Ukrainian as well. I’m worried if any of this will cause us problems at ports.

  10. Hi Zoryana, I'm enjoying your million questions :-)

At some ports, your ship will dock right at the pier. Those offer the most flexibility for just getting on and off the ship whenever you like. You might even decide to go out in the morning, head back to the ship for lunch, and then wander around the port some more.

Other ports will require that your ship anchor off-shore a bit, and you will take "tender" boats in. Those are obviously less flexible and take more time. Perhaps a bit of planning as well. What I noticed is that folks on the early morning ship excursions will have priority: there will likely be an announcement about which excursions will tender first, and then a time by which the tenders are open for anyone to use. There will also be clear indications as to when the last tender leaves port for the ship before sailing off to the next location.

With both scenarios, you are free to stay on the ship or head out into town, as others have suggested. You might choose the tender ports as your "sea days" so that you can experience the quiet of having the ship all to yourselves :-)

    Congratulations on your upcoming honeymoon!

Haha!! I seriously have millions of questions. But thank you so much for the answers!!!!!!’

  11. Hubby and I are looking to cruise to the Caribbean. However we wanted to go exploring by ourselves. We know there are taxis at the ports, but we keep getting warned about safety. Have you guys ever had a problem trusting anyone on the islands? Taxi drivers, bars, excursions when you decided to do something that wasn’t from the cruise line?

  12. My husband and I are planning a cruise.

Besides excursions, tips for staff, room service, drinks. Is there any other fees I should be worried about. The reason I’m asking is because I hear so many people complain that after their cruise they get charged an extra $1000 or so. I’m scared for the hidden charges. Is it possible to pay for the cruise and tips and excursions and not have any extra charges?

  13. I have a million questions. Seriously. I don’t even know where to begin. Please post a few things that y’all wish you’d known about cursing. Advise. Anything is appreciated! We’re from Ohio. We’ll be driving down to Florida for the cruise. (we want to stop at a few places on the way to Florida) but mainly I’m worried about stuff that maybe I should know. Any tips or advice about the cruise helps!!! Thank you in advance. Planning on going to the Caribbean:)

  14. My husband and I recently got married. We’re looking to go on a cruise since we didn’t get a chance to go on a honeymoon due to work. We own a trucking company. But we were wondering what should we choose for seating arrangements for dinning. Anytime dinning or scheduled? And is there an option to eat alone? With just us two?
