I already know it would be great to spend a whole day at KSC. Unfortunately that kind of time is not possible unless we wake up and leave our home at some wild middle of the night time (then a not so great energy level for all of us once we get there). So with a realistic estimated arrival time to the area of around 2pm to KSC and an uncertain if the first week of April 2023 the hours will be 5 or 6pm close (in 2022 they were posted changing to "summer hours" 6pm after the first week of April). I wonder if it would be even worth trying to whirlwind at quick tour through KSC in 4 hours or less.
Also, any advice on recommendations of what to see or do first (i.e. do you need to register/sign-up for the bus tour (2hrs)) or see Atlantis first?
Besides going to the beach or jetty park what other ideas has anyone done in the area pre-cruise? I was thinking something like Fan boat ride along the marsh areas and/or the intercoastal.
Thank you for some ideas and thoughts.

Our Ship starting in Miami is stopping in Key West. Well key lime pie is my favorite. I was wondering since Key West is part of the US can I bring back onboard a whole pie to consume for the duration of my trip?

On the Lido deck at the Havana bar there are just a few Cuban inspired food items available for breakfast and lunch. Also tends to less crowded until the end of the cruise.

I don't typically check the Disney forum but, when I do it is with a story like this. I instantly got some popcorn to eat while being entertained. LOL. Thanks go out to those who posted info on other Fb cruise groups! LOL.

Our cruise on the Sunshine party of 7 or sometimes 4 was about 30min wait every night except on elegant night it was over 2hrs. It seemed that most on the other cruisers picked YTD and, wanted to eat early so they could make it to the entertainment time windows. Our cruise was a lot of waiting in lines sadly.

Though it has been some time since on RC. When we were aboard the AOS the desserts seemed to be lacking. I was pleased with most choices on the Carnival Sunshine when we went.

Has anyone noticed how quickly they go once they are available? Incase I don't catch it the first few days if on or before 180 out...Thx.

Thanks for the info. Not sure we have enough time to spend before we depart on our cruise. Our hotel is near by and was wondering what there is to been seen before 9am if anything.

Besides transportation problems you experienced. Is there much to see without going into $10 parking lot with your own car? Or inside.

I was booking another overnight hotel stay for next month and just was curious about hotels with park and go rates for our Feb. 2019 cruise. As I am not a NASCAR fan but, generally know the 500 is in early/mid Feb. I pulled up the available hotels and there were only a few already! I checked another site and a little pop-up said that 88% hotels in the area were already full. I then looked up when the race was. Low and behold it is race week. Lucky for us we found a cheap place to crash after our long drive from the Charlotte, NC area. Most of the ones that were still available over $200 and, still had to pay extra to leave car. But, we found a place in Titusville for under $100 and a free cancelation policy and just plan on parking at the cruise terminal like we did last time. But miss the parking discount voucher they offered a few years ago.:( Glad you found a place. Because our next option was just sleep in the car. Lol.

Though still somewhat new to cruising I was wondering how quick do you have to be at reporting a possible price drop for same cabin type (OV) to your TA...who then contacts CCL? Our last cruise the price after we booked just went up and sold out quick. Booking a similar cabin as last time I doubt we will see many more. I noticed a drop yesterday and contacted our TA but they were likely out of the office and have not heard a response back today. Though the drop seemed a nominal $ I wonder if I am getting worried about their response time for nothing. Or perhaps going about it all wrong.
THX.

This looks like fun to me. My honeymoon cruise was very port intensive but was great for us. We are not the biggest fans of lots of sea days.

Since the Legend docked today perhaps more information will come to light from those who saw first hand what was going on aboard.

Seems the only "reduced" fair is cruises out of Long Beach (LA). Lol. I wonder if they track your location and offer the cheapest rates on the ships sailing the farthest from your location. Lol.

Thank you for your informative review. We also live in the Charlotte area and do the driving thing to get to ports. your assessment is very similar to our experience on the Sunshine in 2016. It is kind of sad that they not found any kind of solution to same bottlenecks you were stating as were the same on our sailing in 2016. We are going on the Breeze 2019 out of PC and selected an early seating in the MDR. Again as you stated MDR is sometimes difficult for the young ones... we have 3. But, they are a little bit older. We had YTD on the Sunshine and first formal night we waited 2hrs to be seated. Needless to say our kids fell asleep at the table waiting for there food. As I mentioned before your review was spot on. We would sail on the Sunshine again as well and look forward to her moving to Charleston as the home port. Thank you again.

We print off extra ones for our carry-on but put them in one of the pockets. Then at port if we deem it necessary to check them at the last minute we attach them there. Plus we print extra and put one inside each checked piece on top incase the original are ripped off some how.

Sorry, for such a delayed response to this post. It takes quite some time to read though this great review. That phrase is one of dread at our house. The inner dad joke comes to life every weekend when it is chore time... but I say it in such a manor it sounds like the intro to the dinner entertainment... "It's Showtiiiimmmee / It's Choroorrretiiimmeee, Choooorretime!" my kids hate it, and I can not but laugh after I shout it up the stairs at my house.
