Where do you dock in Ponza exactly?

Is there a beach where we could spend a few hours, walking distance from the dock?

Any must see sight worth a taxi ride?

I'm looking for a July/August 2018 Greece, Montenegro & Croatia cruise.

I've never cruised the Mediterranean sea before although I took 2 Caribbean cruises with Windstar before. I got free beverage package and on board credits on those 2 cruises.

Should I expect these perks on a Med cruise on Star Clippers?

This 10 nights cruise is actually at 2500$. What price would be a decent deal? Is that the usual price you have to pay for a Med cruise on Star Clippers on I could see a better deal in the next months, in your experience? I've been monitoring SC prices for many weeks (even months) and the price didn't move at all.

I love the atmosphere of the Barbecue night being outside but I am one of the few who is not in love with the buffet but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Well, you're not alone. BBQ night annoys me. I'd rather be eating in Amphora instead. I don't remember being overly impressed by the food that night but indeed, the atmosphere was fun. Not a gourmet evening, though.

From what I understand, there are three places to have dinner on Windsurf: Amphora (main dining room), Bistro and Candles.

We were on Wind Spirit 5 years ago and food was great every night. I wonder if it is worth it to book at Bistro and Candles, food-wise? I guess you can't compare that but we we go to a resort in the Caribbean, we usually skip the "specialty" restaurants as they end up being less impressive than the main buffet.

Would you say the the food is usually better at Amphora?

We would like to go to Maho beach to watch the planes land. We will be there on a Saturday and from what I've seen online there are 4 cruise ships expected that day.

Where can we park? Should we leave our car at home and take a bus? It looks on Google maps like there aren't many places to park.

If you recommend taking the bus, please tell me where to get it. We live in Cole Bay area.

I read that the beach at Ilet Pinel's North end was a lot quieter than the main beach but that you can't swim there.

Any first hand experience? We would like to go to the quieter beach but walking 45 minutes return and not being able to cool off in the sea is not fun.

I chose the premium beverage package, though really not quite sure what this includes. Is it the same as the premium beverage package you can purchase?

we chose the BP too.

Yes, it's the same you can buy onboard on the first day.

Everything is included up to around 12$/glass including specialty coffee if i remember correctly. Top shelf, too (Grey Goose and the like). But maybe that's because we're ladies. :)

We are looking to cruise on Jan 28th on the Star Legend. We love the ports of call and the sailing date is quite firm since we’d like to be onboard for our 20th anniversary (Feb 3). I’ve been checking the price go up and down in the past months. I missed it when it was 1499$ (I think) because I was waiting for Labour Day weekend special. Last year, there was a beverage package offer advertised at this time of year.

Would you have any idea when that special could come back ? The cruise is actually 1899$ so I would have been better off paying 1499$ and paying the beverage package myself. But then, 5 years ago or so, I was able to get a cabin for 1299$ including beverage package on Wind Spirit. I was hoping to get lucky again..

I’ve looked at other companies like Seabourn and the like but prices are way more expensive.

Any thought or tip you could share ?
