I'm a first-time cruiser too. Sailing Carnival Elation May 5 and we'll be going to Half Moon Cay also. I unfortunately don't have any experience to help you with but I have heard that the clamshells can sometimes be reserved in advance. I didn't see that option on the cruise excursions so maybe contact Carnival directly or your travel agent if you have one. I'd be interested in that too. Let me know if you find out. Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions. Do you happen to know the name of any shuttle companies from Port Canaveral or can I find those on the cruise site? I'm cruising with Norwegian. New cruiser here! :):)

Greetings! I will be taking a cruise in June from Port Canaveral. When we return to port I need to get to Clearwater, Fl where we'll spend a few days before going home. This is about 2 1/2 hours away and I am trying to figure out the best way to get there other than renting a car and driving myself which is not an option. A private car service is really expensive. I'll be staying at the Beachview Hotel. The shuttle services I've looked at won't drive that far. Any suggestions??? Not sure what to do without paying $500. Thanks!

Thank you so much those are great ideas. I do think going to MCO first is a good plan and then Uber from there. I have a disability that prevents me from being able to drive otherwise that would definitely be the easiest option.
