Are there large vans or SUV cabs readily available at the airport to hotels and then from hotel to Port? We have 4 adults and 2 kids. Probably will have 5-6 suitecases plus carry ons so too many/much for standard cab or uber. Wondering if I should book a car service ahead of time or possibly do 2 Ubers. Thanks!

We are traveling president's week feb 2019. Family of 6 with 8 & 11 year old and my parents. Hotels in Ft Lauderdale precruise are proving to be very expensive. 17th Street near the port is running $350-400 a night and we need two rooms. Embassy Suites isn't even available and I'm 11 months out.

I have found the best rates via Costco. I am debating between GalleryOne vs Hyatt House dania beach each have 2 bedroom 2 bath suites for around $425 night, which is our cheapest option. Hyatt House includes airport shuttle and breakfast. GalleryOne seems to be a better location.

Any help on which I should go with? GalleryOne is a nonrefundable rate vs Hyatt House is no penalty cancelation. Should I wait and see if 17th Street rates budge or pick one of those? Any preference between the two? This has proved harder than picking our cruise!

Has anyone have recent feedback on Four Points Ft Lauderdale near Port Everglades? I'm looking at hotels in that area for a one night stay in feb 2018. Rates are really high $300 night or more for Embassy Suites & Hyatt Place. I can probably get Four Points on hotwire for around $160 a night in a blind hot rate. Would you lock this in or wait and watch rates as it's so far away? Feedback on cleanliness and general experience at Four Points?

We are going on the Conquest 2/16/19 with our two school aged children. Many kids will have mid winter break that week so keep that it mind when planning. I expect there will be many families on this sailing.

Do you use your sail and sign card or quarters to do laundry on the Conquest?

I use a website that allows travel agents to compete for my cruise. I enter my cruise info (cruise line, ship, date, cabin category, etc.) and I get fares from different agents and I book with the cheapest agent.

I did this as well. I priced my trip through carnival, Costco and several discount websites myself so I knew the pricing and then placed it on the compete website. I ended up booking with one of the TAs that offered a good OBC and had good reviews. It was better deal than carnival,or Costco. We just booked this week for a year out.

Is Holland House kid friendly for a beach day? Is the beach calm?
