Thank you for sharing pictures of your cabin.
I agree with Ruth -- the space between the bed and sofa looks very narrow.
Do you have pictures of the bathroom and closets?
Yes the space between the bed and sofa is narrow, about the same width as
the bedside cabinet.
I didn’t didn’t take a photo of the bathroom as it’s the same as other
inside, outside and balcony cabins on the Koningsdam and it was
difficult to take a decent photo showing the actual layout.
The wardrobe is shown, a double one, in picture 2 in the far right
and to the left of the bathroom door in the same photo are the drawers.
One has the safe and one has the fridge so there’s not tons of space
but to be honest with the dressing down that seems to be the norm
now on HAL there’s not the need for us to take so many clothes, and
having free laundry helps too.

Yes, it does look much larger than the other insides on the K. Thanks for sharing. We usually book an inside; however, for the past 2 years we've sailed on these two Pinnacle class ships. Understanding that the insides were so much smaller than the usual Ks we booked on the other ships, we moved to a balcony on Beethoven Deck. They're more expensive, of course, but these pictures may lure us back to the insides if we could get this cabin. Are any of the other I category cabins as large? Has anyone stayed in one of the other I's? Would you please share your impressions?
There are definitely 2 of these positioned in a similar place midship on decks 4,5,6,7 and 8, but there are other I grades that might not be the same size.

Back in June I was trying to find info on a specific cabin on Koningsdam without much luck.
We’re just back and having stayed in this specific cabin I thought I’d share some photos.
Its a grade I on deck 6, Mozart deck and is a fabulous position midship and very quiet. Although
the lifts are behind the headboard we didn’t hear a thing, in fact it was the quietest cabin we’ve
ever had. The layout is different to the standard inside as it has a sofa and is larger. The only
available wall for the flat screen TV is behind the sofa but it’s on an arm which pulls out so
you can watch TV from the bed.
We loved this cabin and would definitely book it again.

Thanks Mary, just had a look. There is one with sofa. Looks like you can’t watch tv from bed which is a shame if that’s the case.

Does anyone have photos or cabin layout ? Very difficult to find info for this specific cabin type. Looks like you can’t really watch TV as behind the sofa and on the wall to the side of where the bed faces.

Thanks for posting this link. We did the first 25 days of the Nieuw Statendam when it launched last month and it’s lovely to see a photo and mention of our cabin stewards Budhi and Tommy as they were fantastic. Happy memories of a wonderful holiday.

Thanks for the link. 👍

I can’t seem to find anything online showing a list of QM2 guest speakers for Transatlantic 2019. It’s always been there in the past but looks like Cunard may have stopped the advance notice of such things.

Happened to us on QM2. Only a few dollars but very annoying. I did get it refunded but lost out on the exchange rate. They said probably minibar but what annoys me if you haven’t used it in 14days why do they insinuate folk use it on the last day to pilfer something ! 😡

I’ve posted on another thread regarding problems since the UK switched onto the new HAL website. I use my iPad or smartphone. I was told my iPad was too old running on iOS 9 and it’s no longer compatible. I’ve had the same problem with some other websites including Hilton Honors. Bought a new iPad this week now on iOS 11 and all working fine iPad and android smartphone. 👍

Hopeless ! I use an iPad and smartphone. Can't access the UK site any more on my iPad. Web-chatted and was told clear my cache and try again. Did that still doesn't work. Can sign into my account but cannot display cruises and prices. They suggested call Southampton when I said I was UK based. I did and they said they were getting lots of calls saying the same thing and I should use a laptop or PC. I asked if these issues are in for a fix they didn't know but thought it unlikely. I was made to feel it was my fault for trying to use a tablet.
I've now booked Cunard QM2 for my next trip and feel very disappointed HAL have decided not to invest in a new gen website that's better than the old one.
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it ! :(

Thanks for the heads up. Still trying to navigate my way around the boards. Just found them, glad to see I'm not the only one having problems. :o

HAL have 'upgraded' their website and apparently it's no longer tablet friendly. Spoke to their Southampton office who confirmed this is the case and suggested I use a laptop.
One step forward, two steps back!

I wonder if this is because Aida (also under the Carnival Corp group) caters specifically to the German market and includes tips in the fare. I’d imagine or at least expect the German fares and other ‘opt in’ countries to be higher than those of us in ‘opt out’ countries.
I agree though this seems a really poor decision as tips have, and always will be, a contentious issue amongst different cruise nations and this I fear will only fan the flames and polarise both sides even more. Surely you either opt everyone in or everyone out but don’t segregate over nationality as once the words out that makes for uncomfortable cruising !
