Would anyone who was on a Circle Caribbean 14 night cruise itinerary on the Caribbean Princess post a review and/or any of the Patters?  We're looking at the holiday one for 2019 and would love to hear about the 2018 ones, holiday or otherwise.  Your impression of the ship, the ports, etc.  Thanks.

Myself, along with Daughter and her Husband, and their 2 children, went on this same cruise Dec 2017-Jan 2018.

This years coming cruise, Dec 2019-Jan 2020, is exact same, same itinerary, which we are now in the planning stage to go on this cruise again. My Grand-kids have become accustomed to looking forward to this yearly event, as I do too, as it gets my family together for the holidays. We have done 3 yrs over the Xmas/NY day cruises. (RC-Allure; PC-Caribbean; RC-Serenade)

We loved the ship, the cruise directors had 'to much' to do at times, that us adults had a hard time making decisions which event to attend; some events overlapped each other.

  2. This whole time change thing was invented by the republicans decades ago. It was to raise money from oil & electric tariff by nights being longer and more people needing to burn more oil for heat and keeping lights on. Let them bums stop this madness. Thank goodness for the dems... corrupt thieves masking that tariff as a good resource for the farmers to have more light to tend to crops and livestock

Well...it passed 33-2, so.....must be a whole lot of 'bum' dems too.....

  3. Sorry if this is on the wrong board, but gathering opinions for noise, above and below, and hallway traffic for forward balconies on the Riviera deck. Are they covered? Looking at Dec. 9, 2018 10 day Panama Canal. Thanks to all for any help.

Was on the Dec 2017, Xmas/New Year cruise-14 day Circle Caribbean. Had R338, port side. Room halfway between forward and middle elevators. This room location is underneath the 1st forward swimming pool area.

On balcony, or balcony door open, can hear voices/music from deck above. Inside the room, morning alarm was deck attendants scooting/shoving deck equipment around, this started 05:30-06:00. Up until about 12:00 pm-01:00am, can hear the pitter/patter of folks walking on deck above.

None of it too loud, mind you, but noticeable. Light sleeper? Move as far forward/aft as you can for a room, or book another room on lower deck.

  4. I have photos of 9212 on the Serenade with the bed still in the ceiling. In that cabin, it is over the couch, rather than like Clara Bob's photo of one over the bed.

It is therefore, closer to the bathroom, if that matters..

I have not been successful in posting here, but is you want to give me your email, I'll be happy to send.

The picture that was sent was sufficient. I also have a sofa in this room (not a sleeper), so even if pullman is above sofa it most likely faces the same way as the one in photo??, just as long as it's not in way, if one needs to use bathroom in the eve.

  5. I have room 9510 booked on Serenade OTS for Dec 2018 holiday cruise.

Was curious if anyone on CC, who may have already been on a cruise, and had children who used the 'pullman' bed(s). Was wondering if anyone had a photo they could post with the pullman bed 'down'. It looks like any room that would be considered an (E1) class balcony room with pullman would look the same.

Thanks for any photo's. (or can you direct me to a link somewhere on CC where it may already be posted?)

  6. Ship - Allure

    Deck - 9

    Stateroom # - 9502

    Stateroom Category – G

Starboard or Port Side - Forward (Bow)

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very Quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. –N/A

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A

    Was wind a problem? -N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Obstruction out front (Oceanview-Bow) window; or so it's stated, on RC website-rooms. Personally, although one can see (downward) the bow of the ship, helipad, railing, and perhaps some upright pole, there's not much obstruction looking forward from the front of ship. Large window. Just be aware, front wall slants outward from top to bottom. For a person like myself, 6 ft tall, and approaching window, I forgot front wall was slanted, and banged my head into upper glass. Didn't forget after that one time.

    Any other comments?

Great views when arriving in ports, sunrises. This room, being in very front of ship, it can be a bit of walk for some. (No problem for me-just saying) Beds set up as 2 twins. Had my 2 Grand kids in my room. Grandson slept on other twin. This room only sleeps 2 guests, however, room steward got extra roll away bed for my Granddaughter, and placed it under the slanted window. Room has a large sofa-not a sleeper sofa. Would book this room again.

  7. Ship: Caribbean Princess

    Class: BC

    Deck: 14

    Stateroom # R338

    Category: Balcony

    Port/Starboard/Bow/Stern: Port (Forward)

    Connects With Cabin #: N/A

    Accessible: No

    Quiet: Not really

    Balcony Size: Standard

View: Left to Right, good. Downward, obstruction.

    Privacy Issues: No.

Wind: Can be windy, at times.

    Soot: No problem

Problems: This balcony rm, just under deck 15. Can hear voices (when on balcony or have sliding door open) and can hear people walking above this room on deck. Attendants clean in early morning, 04:30-05:30, can hear them sliding deck chairs/tables around. Gets quiet around/after 01:00 in morning, when most venues are closed. Also, this ship, for most balcony rooms, deck 10-14, each of these floors are (tiered) outward, deck 14 and downwards. Can see into other balconys below you. This outward tiering prevents a good downward look to the water-somewhat.

Comments: Nice stateroom, halfway between stairwells/elevators. If one likes the nightlife, this is the room for you. For those who prefer getting to sleep earlier, this room may be too noisy for them. Great view from balcony, depending on wind currents, can get windy.

  8. I am traveling, with extended family, (7 of us) on the 12 night cruise, Dec 21 2018, on Serenade OTS.

In looking at available photo's of the beds in the staterooms, the end of the beds (appear) to be (not) square, but rounded on (at least) one side.

My son-in-law is 6 ft, 4in. I'm concerned that he may not get a restful sleep.

Anyone on this forum, who might be as tall as him, have any problems with these beds?
