  1. It's actually this coming Monday the 26th. We're booked on her leaving that day. We're staying with family for a week after the cruise so I'll try to post some information about it when we have down time. I've never been on her before or any Carnival cruise for that matter so my observations may be a little different than others. :)

  2. We're booked on Paradise 3/26/2018 after it comes out of drydock! This is my boyfriend's first cruise and we're meeting my friend on board with her two boys for their first cruise, to celebrate her 40th birthday! I'll try to remember to post some pictures. This is my first cruise since 2006 when I was on RCCL's Soverign of the Seas so we're super excited!

  3. I am sailing them on the first sailing out of drydock on 3/26/2018. I will try to remember to post a review with some pictures after. This is my boyfriend's first cruise ever, and I haven't sailed since RCCL Sovereign of the Seas back in 2006. We are booked in a Grand Suite (it was only $100 more per person than the Junior Suite when we booked), and I know they're updating the balconies, adding more balcony rooms, etc, so I'm excited. I'll try to get some pics of the menu and Fun Times newsletter.

  4. I was just on my Carnival log in page for my cruise the day after dry dock, 3/26/2018, and was looking at what cabins were still available on the ship in case we wanted to change, nothing, just interior. However, I saw for their 3/31 sailing, they have Grand Suites with "extended balconies". Wondering if this is part of the new room upgrade after drydock. Looks like the extension of the balcony gives you more space between the cabin door and the railing, long enough for a chaise lounge chair! Wondering if they're going to call us for upgrades soon or if we will be pleasantly surprised with our current Grand Suite booking! Our GS was only $100 more per person than the Junior Suite when we booked a year ago so we went all in.

  5. I'm fairly certain the laws concerning smoking in public in Grand Cayman are still in place, but not sure what a change with policies on a cruise line would have to do with a country's regulations?

If the cruise line changed the policy years ago, thought maybe the country did as well since it was put in place almost ten years ago. I haven’t cruised anywhere but the Bahamas three times previously so I’m excited for this cruise but we’re both smokers as is my friend who planned the trip.

  6. Additional question regarding smoking. I recently came across some information that it is illegal to smoke in public in Grand Cayman? Is this true still today? Saw that a law was passed back in 2009 or something making it illegal to smoke in public, but then again, Carnival Paradise (our ship) was first nonsmoking, but became smoking....
