  1. We just got back from a NB Alaskan Cruise. When we were in Ketchikan we arranged a private tour for our group of 10 with Wild Wolf Tours. Our group ranged in age from 13-78, so older than your group, but still a wide range of age/ability. I thought they did a great job of recommending things that matched the ages and interests of our group and I bet they could recommend something for you too.

(In their online reviews, it sounds like they often do hikes in Tongass National Forest that people rave about and they have a variety to match different ability levels. That might be a great option for your group. We didn't do a hike because our older members weren't up for it. I told the owner that we were interested in totem poles, wild life and natural beauty -- and that our older members were relatively healthy/active, but weren't up for long walks... and she suggested the itinerary for us. We all really enjoyed the tour. )

  2. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for information about the disembarkation process. We are just back from our cruise (had a great time). However, we did not receive the disembarkation questionnaire in our room. (We were 3 families traveling together. Apparently we were each supposed to get one, but only one of us did.) Anyway, we went to Passenger Services and asked about it and it was all taken care of easily and everything worked out fine. However, I would not have known that we should have received a questionnaire without this thread, so Thanks!

  3. This is our first cruise and I've searched the forum but did not find an answer.

We'll be cruising on the Coral Princess next week from Vancouver to Whittier. Once we're in Whittier, I've arranged a private tour, not through Princess, for our group (Anchorage highlights, and will drop us off a the airport in time for our flight home.) The tour guide said they'll meet us in the Whittier cruise terminal at 8:45am.

My question is: Will everyone be disembarked by then (with enough time to claim luggage and do whatever else we need to do)? Do I need to talk to someone to make sure we get into an early enough group to disembark? If so, who do I need to contact?

Thanks for any help you can provide. We're very excited... and I'm just trying to nail down all the final details now.

  4. Thanks kim_mo! I wasn't able to get it to open but I will check back later in the season and hopefully someone else posts in their review.

You have to take out the spaces in the menus URL (or the @s in the patter URL) to get it to work... but the links are still active. I downloaded them yesterday.

  5. I was looking for the same info yesterday. 2018 Alaska cruises aren't up and running yet, so I don't think there's anything to see there yet.

However, I did find this thread from the Northbound Voyage of the Glaciers cruise from late May 2017. In post #16, he posts a link to download photos of all the menus, and later on he posts a link to download the Princess Patters from the trip. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2508384

Looks like *lots* of seafood. (I'm not a fan of seafood, but I think I can still find something to eat!)
