I finally got my refund, minus the NRD. I was told that am supposed to get the NRD as FCC, but I haven't received anything regarding that. Would love to get some kind of email or notice in my RCC account indicating the FCC. I would be more inclined to book knowing I have some credit coming.

The bigger question for me, is how long does it take for my money to get refunded? ( I cancelled over a week ago before my final payment was due)

I like it better than the "specialty" coffee dispensed in the Diamond Lounge.
Can you get espressos and cappuccinos there?

So, how is the coffee at the Cafe Promenade? I have the drink package, but haven't cruised on Navigator.

We will be in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas on Dec. 24 from 8 am-5 pm off Celebrity Equinox and are wanting to explore on our own. We are interested in Paradise Point Skyride and were wondering how close it is to the cruise ship dock. Can we walk or do we need to get a cab? What else would you suggest doing on your own in St. Thomas?

I just cancelled and re-booked my excursions for my Dec. 21st Equinox cruise and saved $75!

When people have used this service for airline luggage fees if applicable are the fees charged directly by the airline or by teh cruise line and added to your online account.?
Will be cruising with Celebrity, but I imagine all cruise lines are the same.
We cruise on Celebrity in July and participated in the luggage valet service. The airline fee for the baggage was charged to the Celebrity on board account.

We used FLAT Rate taxi service and paid $50 total for two family stops at two hotels. There were 6 people total and lots of luggage. We had a mini van.

Just bringing this thread back into the spotlight.
Any recent cruisers have summer experience with this.
Thanks
Safe travels.
We just got off Celebrity Solstice a week ago and used the service. We had a 12:30 flight with American Airlines. Celebrity left the paperwork in our cabin early in the cruise. Paperwork had to be turned in I believe on Tuesday. On Wednesday, we received our luggage tags and boarding passes in our staterooms. Thursday night, our luggage had to be left outside our room by 10 pm. We got off the ship the following morning and took and Uber to the airport. When we arrived in Miami that night, luggage was there! There was no charge for this service, though we still had to pay the $25 per checked bag to American Airlines. This was charged to our Celebrity account. The process was smooth and it was so nice not to deal with luggage upon debarkation! Would highly recommend!

We were just on Solstice Concierge class room 1243 right after the hump. Loved the extra large balcony that blocked the wind when we were outside. Great views, located near the aft elevators.

VERIZON -- When To Check For Service?
Verizon has told me I have service in Alaska. I was wondering, though, if I turn on my phone and don't see "Verizon" but get a voicemail or call while I am checking if I have service in port, what happens (i.e., will I be charged for roaming?)? Should I wait until I am off the ship to check or am I safe to do this once we dock? Any tips from fellow Verizon customers?
THANKS! :)
I had no problem with my Verizon service in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway or Victoria

If we try to use our phone while traveling from one port to another will it be roaming ?
Yes, it will. We kept our phones on airplane mode on the ship. We have Verizon. Once we forgot and a 5 minute call ended up costing $15 from Cellular at Sea. As we were cruising along the shore, when you see 4G on your phone, you are OK. Look for "Cellular at Sea". If don't see it, you should be OK. When in Canada, even though it was roaming, we had no extra charges.

Thanks for the info.
Do you remember for the luggage valet service if there was a certain time listed for flights on Southwest Airlines?
There were specific times listed, but unfortunately I do not recall what they were.

Just got off Solstice yesterday. Our favorite excursion was the Coastal Wildlife Cruise. There were only 12 people on board and we were able to get far up into the coves and shoreline to see humpback whales, eagles, harbor seals, black tailed deer, river otters. No bear sightings on this trip. The captain Mike and tour guide Tye were so personable and knowledgeable!

The captain Mike and tour guide Tye were so personable and knowledgeable! Our other favorite was the Island Wings and Taku Lodge and Salmon Bake. We took a float plane and flew over to Juneau ice fields and had late salmon lunch at the Taku lodge. Lois the bear even made her appearance! Beautiful surroundings and a great staff greeted us and made our stay very
enjoyable.
We used the Luggage Valet service and would highly recommend using it! We had American Airlines flight at 12:30 pm. Our paperwork was in our cabins on the second day and had to be turned in on Monday. The luggage tags and boarding passes were delivered to our stateroom on Wednesday. Arrived in Miami and the bags were there, no problems at all.
We were also Concierge class and had the lunch in the MDR on embarkation day. We arrived at 10:30 and were on board by 10:50. It was fast and easy! There was a small menu that included salmon, a chicken dish, short ribs a pasta dish and vegetarian dish. Yes, you can have a hot breakfast for room service, but I would say it was lukewarm upon arrival. They do offer discounts for specialty dining for embarkation day( not sure of the percentage off).

I understand how the program works, and hopefully it will work for me! Anyone on Solstice this year (2018)who can verify that they participate in the program? My flight leaves at 12:30 pm. My cruise begins Friday and would love to have the last piece of the cruise puzzle in place!

Thanks for the review..we leave next week and can't wait!

Ulu Knives

Going on an RT Alsakan cruise from Seattle through the inside passage next week to Ketchican, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria. I'm looking for a suggestion on the best place to purchase Ulu Knives and bowl sets.

I know it has been posted, but where can I get a list of which brands are included in the premium alcohol package?

Has anyone booked an evening excursion through a 3rd party vendor for this tour in the evening? We are in port from 5:30-11:30pm.

I have 3 days in Seattle prior to my cruise. Has anyone used the Seattle City Pass? Is it feasible to do the whole pass in the 3 day? (Traveling with a 13 year old)

On 6/3, used Uber from pier 91 to SEA. 4 people, 9 carry-on bags (luggage went ahead of us), Uber XL (was a Lexus SUV), for $26 and change, tip additional. Easy to do with new setup at pier...absolutely no way to miss your car unless you call for it prior to getting to the pick up area. Taxis wanted $40 fixed price for up to 4 people in tiny cars.
Can you explain how you do the set up at the pier?

I’m currently on solstice, looking at port valet form. SW air only works for flights between 11am & 4pm. Boarding passes must be picked up at airport.
Keep in mind you only have two or three days to turn the form in. You get it with your first day documents.
At Juneau there we’re four spots to park. We were in the one the farthest from downtown. If was a $5 shuttle ride, good all day. Or a twenty minute walk in the pouring rain. Holland had the best docking spots.
Do you know if you can use the luggage valet with an American Airlines flight that leaves at 12:30pm?
FCC expire may 28, 2021??

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm hoping it means I have to re book by 5/28.
