  1. While not a cruise question, I'm wondering if someone can help me.  I'll be flying into Liberia airport and needing to get to the La Fortuna area.  Can anyone recommend a shuttle, uber, or car rental at the airport and an approximate cost and name of the company?  How easy is it to drive in Costa Rica?  My friend there has no car and has been paying quite a bit for transportation.

Thank you for any suggestions from anyone who has spent time in Costa Rica.

  2. Having AFib is very scary.  I would not want to be so far away from quality medical care.  I would strongly recommend having the Ablation Procedure, if he hasn't already.  They say I am AFIb free, for now, but I did experience a flutter about a year ago.  They could not get me out of it and I wound up doing the "shock me" treatment.  I am on blood thinners- Pradaxa and Heart Meds - Cardizem Cd 180 mg.  They had me on 120 mg, but did up me to 180mg after that episode.

I too am on the fence about our Panama Cruise in November, 15 days, but I have until August to decide!

For a message in Cabo go to the sand bar...easy location and not quite as crazy as a place as say Mango deck...upstairs are very reasonably priced and nicely done messages (view and music included)...don't quote me but like $30/hr or something very reasonably priced...BUT they book up early...if you dally getting there they are likely to be booked up until the boat leaves so if that is your plan get there early...down below is perfect for eating and enjoying the water....we go there often and always have a good time.

I'll 2nd the Sand Bar in Cabo.  I got a 90 minute massage June 2021 for $49. Payment was made through Paypal. Very nice and relaxing. They have good food too!  Near The Office and on the beach.

Sanchos or personally with kids Paradise Beach.

My friend and I went to Nachi about a year before Covid hit.  It was a nice beach and fairly quiet, but I was unimpressed with the food.  We went based on all the positive reviews about food and service at the time.  We go in March 22 to Cozumel and I think we will do Mr. Sanchos this time, even though it may be louder with music playing, etc.

Has anyone done the Salsa & Salsa and Beach Break excursion with Carnival?  Was it fun? Was it worth it?

We did it a few years back.  We had fun making the different salsa's etc., but it was cheaper then than it is now.  We didn't have much time on the beach if I am remembering correctly.

  6. We just returned April 21st from a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale on Carnival. We had our allocated 1 bottle each of wine in the carry on bag. In addition, my husband had 3 leftover Fosters so we threw those in and figured at worst they would be taken. We also threw in 6 small waters-(I was told I could bring 6) and 4 sodas. We went through the scanner, they opened the bag, looked in it and zipped it back up. We were happy. :o
