Yes, the main bed can be separated. Tell the stateroom attendant when you first meet them on embarkation day.
Thank you

Can the beds be separated. My kids would very much appreciate this. And do we let them know this beforehand, or once onboard?

The kids programs on Disney are not even comparable to other cruise lines, IMO. The ships devote almost an entire deck for the kids clubs. We cruised 5 times with our twins, starting at age 5, and ended at age 17, when they aged out of the clubs. For the most part, they outlasted us in the evenings. We found little to do on the ship for adults past midnight or so and the kids as teens were out doing activities with the teen club til 2am or so. My kids always had a blast and didn't want to spend much time with us, so we also got a much needed vacation and were able to enjoy ourselves as well.

You can also get her signed up for the kids club in advance as well. I believe I did it before we left home but there was also a member of the staff at the port signing kids up while waiting for boarding time. And the first thing we did when boarding was headed to the sign up area for the Frozen and Princess Meets. I believe it was right next to the shore excursion desk on The Dream.

You don't mention if your return flight is from Ft L or Orlando. Personally, unless there is a huge price difference I would fly directly to Ft L. A lot less stress in my book. $200 more for airfare would not do it for me. The round trip drive from Orlando to Ft L alone makes paying the extra flight $ worth it. Even one way, with drive time, car rental cost, tolls, fuel, it's still worth the extra flight cost. JMHO
I have not booked our flights yet, and yes, totally agree on the ease of just flying into FLL is worth the extra money. We have not sailed out of FLL before, so this airport and cruise terminal is new for us. I'm not really concerned on the way back as we will have all the time we need since we will not fly home until Monday. Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it.

1.5-2miles,,,,taxi fare is $15-20.
Book the flights to FLL (Ft Lauderdale). Way less stress.
That is what I am leaning towards. My biggest fear is always something happening and not making the ship in time for sailing

I also have to factor in hotel costs. We can stay in Orlando for free, but will have the cost of 2 rooms in Lauderdale. So that adds to the increase of the flight as well.

also looking into this as well in January 2019. Still debating as flights are about 50.00 cheaper to fly into orlando rather than Ft Lauderdale. Have 4 of us travelling. Will fly in the day before and maybe drive to the port. How far from the airport in Lauderdale to the port? May have to drop the care there and taxi to port. Unless there is a rental car place closer to the port that would shuttle us to the ship?? Any suggestions would be wonderful

Thanks so much, that is what I was thinking. Off to confirm and pay the deposit.

Booking on the Harmony and wondering if anyone knows what the open area is across from the 9220 or 9620 rooms is? Maybe just a closet for storage for the room stewards? It seems to be on every deck. Also hall way seems to narrow a bit as well, is this an issue anyone has noticed?
Thanks for any help
