Hi fellow cruisers, have just booked our second ever (first post Covid,) cruise. 

We are from Australia, cruising Alaska and wondering what other Aussies are doing with regard to travel insurance that DOES include Covid on cruises?

Oh wow! Thanks for that info. We are now going to be accompanied by daughter and friend so they have booked a QJ cabin and we have splashed out on a new suite on Deck 8!

Yes CruisetheCs, we have been quoted a ridiculous amount by the TA for Regent organising, hence planning my own which I am used to doing mostly anyway :)

So, if in no great rush some people would still have breakfast onboard? Would an 0930 or thereabouts time be ok? Do some people keep their luggage with them or would that be unnecessary if going later? Or more necessary? Is there a ‘rush’ hour ? 😊

Hi everyone, first cruise (ever!) coming up and have a quick question about disembarkation please.

Explorer is scheduled to dock at 0700 in Civitavecchia and we will be transferring to FCO. How does the disembarkation process work and when could we conceivably expect to be off the ship? We will be in a PH suite.

Just in the process of organising our transfer and don’t want to be stressed about pick up time. Our flight leaves at 1.30 pm.

I can’t see any rosé listed there? Rosé is so popular in Australia but also of course in the Mediterranean region... I had hoped to be drinking a nice dry Provençal rosé on my balcony?

Hubby is a doing a cooking class and I am currently booked in to the Cinque Terre on your own..... one of the reasons we chose this itinerary is because I really wanted to see Cinque Terre but now I’m having second thoughts about long hours in the bus and crowds and wondering if I should abandon that idea?

Lucca receives many positive recommendations on this board and others ( we will have been in Tuscany and Florence the week prior) so leaning that way.

Neither tour for Lucca offers a lot of free time, can you leave tour and get a taxi back if required or can anyone convince me to stay with Cinque Terre? 😉

Thank you everyone, it seems it is quite variable. We are on Venice to Rome next month and have shore excursions booked every day except Gaeta (which we did have but the SG has just been cancelled.) Just thought if the pace becomes too hectic and we decide to do our own thing, how easy that would be 😊

Hi everyone, I have been devouring all information in preparation for our upcoming voyage on Explorer but have a basic question...

If one does not choose a Regent shore excursion for a given port are there always shuttles to and from port to independently visit at ones own leisure? If a shore excursion is for a half day can you stay on for free time and still catch transport back later?
