My friend bought us some nice blingy lanyards last cruise that were kind of fun but I usually avoid them as it makes me feel like I'm at a trade show. I usually have on shorts with a pocket or carry a very small purse if I have no pocket. I saw some of those springy wristbands at Lowe's a while back and think I'll be getting one of those before my next cruise.

I use those at the gym for my locker key and card to get in 🙂

You do not have to stay up late or all night, just get up early.

Thanks for the picture, wonderful.  I've never seen a sunrise while on a cruise and I've been on over 50.  Can't stay up that late anymore, lol.  1 AM seems to be my limit.

As for the OP's question, I've never done early dining, so it's not my preferred time.  Either late 8 to 8:30 set time or ATD or specialty restaurants about the same.  Few  families, less crowded, better service, just seems to work with our preferences.

There is no right or wrong time to have dinner, do what ever works best for you and your stomach.

Wow 1 am???  Don’t think I could make it til then lol 11 is probably this old woman’s limi

Probably contrary to most people we spend a lot of time on our balcony - especially people watching if facing the dock or reading or just watching the ocean and reading when in a port we have been to many times.  I think you made a great decision.

One of me favorite things to do when at a beach vacation is coffee in the morning on the balcony. Love watching the ocean.  I think we will probably use it as well.  Thanks !! As we get older we enjoy people watching as well

To the OP, I think you got a great deal to move up to a balcony.  We like to book a balcony whenever possible, because you never know when it might come in handy.  Sometimes it's crowded on top deck, and just want to chill and relax outside when docked at port and people watch, eat a meal, or even take a nap, lol.  If it makes you and yours happy then I say for that price difference between inside and balcony, it's well worth it.  Also might enjoy being a little closer to things on deck 6 vs deck 2.  Hope you have a great time, we love the Breeze!

    Thank you.

If thats per room I think its a pretty good deal. Not sure what your room history his, but for us its balcony or nothing, we love them!

Yup per room not person.  We booked a year ago and kept looking to see if there was a price drop and never found one always went up by a hundred or even 2 hundred per person when I checked.  Don’t remember original price but new one is 804 per person so original one should have been 629 I’m thinking with the price difference of new price.  Probably not bad for a full size balcony with no obstruction to view. I can’t do a mock booking to see because cruise doesn’t even show up at all now online when I try

I missed this when I first read your post.  We lived in Orlando almost all our lives until we moved to the beach in 2017.  We get up at 5:20 Monday - Friday and drive from Cape Canaveral to Orlando for work.  On weekends we get up early because sunrises are one of the best things about living on the beach.  We actually have YTD on our Hawaii cruise next year and I think that will be the best of both worlds - we can go when it suits us, not too early and not too late.

My gosh I love the beach so jealous

  8. Then we went to a tequila factory and learned about how tequila is made (from blue agaves, which are in the pineapple family!). Our tour guide here was awesome. So fun and knowledgeable. We got to sample about 6 different tequilas that were surprisingly tasty. Tasted nothing like Jose Cuervo or other tequilas we get in the US. If I weren't worried about airline weight allowances, I would have bought a bottle.

this bit bit of information probably saved my daughters life.   She has a severe pineapple allergy.  She can’t wven be around it.  if someone eats it and touches her she even has a bad reaction.  We had no idea agave was in that family.  She is an adult now not much of a drinker but the tequila info could also be life saving.   Love the reviews and particularly this one !

Early riser here too, however, we have chosen late every cruise. We don’t eat here till after 7pm so that would just be a pita to get ready so early. We stay up till 2 am so we aren’t eating right before bed either. Down by 2, up by 6 even on vacation.

I would be such a ***** lol gotta have my sleep. Well more of one anyways

  10. But I honestly felt that by selecting the Early Dining it was like I was admitting I was with the early-bird special "older" crowd at Crackerbarrel.

Hahahaha I suppose I am this person Bwahahahaha. Hubby and I get up early for work therefore are in bed early most nights. Sadly I can say sometimes even as early as 8 pm lol.  We are in our 40’s.  We chose YTD for our cruise in a few days.  It’s our first one so idk but I think we will probably be there as early as possible.  We normally eat at 6ish.  We are not ones for sleeping in too late even on Saturday mornings he is pushing me out of bed to go eat breakfast at our favorite spot.  Can’t imag our schedule changing that much for a week. However we are gonna try tea really hard to stay up and enjoy some shows and the club possibly

Unfortunately, we don't have any family here. Just me and my son and my parents......who are all going on the cruise. And my brother, whose baby I have.

It is a very complicated situation. But we are having a family meeting this week to try and figure out what to do. All is not lost just yet. I was very upset and panicking when I posted yesterday....hadn't had a chance to take a step back from the situation.

Thank you to all for your kind and encouraging words.

Keep us posted.  I’m rooting for You to be able to go!! I get it though. If anything were to happen to anyone in my family I end up with all the kids lol. I always really really hoped they all lived long healthy lives 😆.  I was listed in everyone’s wills to have custody of the children. Thank goodness most are grown now.  Whew  thankful that little girl has you. Gosh wish I could help ya out !

It's been quite awhile since I cruised Carnival, but booked a short one on the Imagination next year.  I know that the FTTF feature will not be available this far out, but I was wondering when it will become an option.  90 days before the cruise?

I booked a year out and could never find FTTF availability until about two weeks ago. I’m 10 ish days from sailing now.  I must have gotten only one because I snatch it up and no more were available.  I would check often if it’s important to you
