My husband and I were supposed to be retired this year and celebrate by going on a Mediterranean Cruise, my #1 bucket list item. Instead he died of a brain tumor last year. After a year of grieving, I have decided to take that cruise, solo. My questions are, What is the best time of year to go on a Mediterranean cruise? What are the best cruise lines / itineraries? Best excursions? Since I am going alone I think I would only feel comfortable going on cruise-sponsored/organized excursions.
Have any of you ever done this alone? I would welcome any and all suggestions/guidance on Mediterranean cruises in general and also doing it solo.
