My husband and I have been on 7 HAL cruises and only had one issue, and that was back in the 90's. Our dining table companions did not like us. I found it amusing, but my husband was mad. The main dining room host---can't remember his title moved us the 2nd night.

How much a % increase? Are the perks the same?
About 12% and we aren't interested in Have it All.

We have a cruise in June of 22 that has gone up $350 per person since we booked last March.

We loved the smaller ships. Veendam was our favorite. I miss there old piano bars that were enclosed and kind of private.

Our sailing in June of 22 has gone down, by ten whole dollars. I look at the prices at least twice a week and will rebook if there is a decent amount of money involved, but it's not worth it to me for $10.

Does this seem arrogant to anyone else?
See if you're comfortable with these:
1. Being Jewish is absolutely a choice, but someone who chooses Judaism has to face the consequences of that choice.
2. Being gay is absolutely a choice, but someone who chooses to be gay has to face the consequences of that choice.
3. Being vegan is absolutely a choice, but someone who chooses to be vegan has to face the consequences of that choice.
Of course you would not be. Now, please spare me the "but think about [other people/grandma/the vulnerable]" because those folks are getting vaccinated. If they are vaccinated, there is no risk to them - otherwise what's the point of the vaccine?
None of the 3 things you mentioned can kill anyone else from 6 feet away!

We piggy-backed along with another couple and rented a '56 Ford to see Vinales from Havana, Cuba. So pretty, everyone so friendly, food was so good, and the scenery was amazing!

We usually sail on Holland America, there the meet-ups are usually early evening and you can go to dinner together if you want to afterwards. They were usually in the Crow's Nest where there was lots of seating groups are quiet enough to talk easily.

Thank you for the responses so far, they have been very helpful! it is going to be hard for me to cut down, I am used to a new outfit every day. Too bad the Westie doesn't have a passenger laundromat like some of the smaller ships used to.

Mary229--- back 1978 I backpacked around Australia and New Zealand for 6 months. But, I was 18 and 19 then!

Booked Westerdam June 1, 2022

We just booked the Westerdam Barcelona to Venice for June 1 2022, and are very excited. We will both be retiring about a year from now and we have never been to Europe and have only done 7 dayers before. There will be some adjustments for us, we have always driven to FTL or Tampa and have about 6 suitcases between the 2 of us! We will have to cut way down! This cruise is very port intensive, we want to see everything we can, but not kill ourselves either.

We luckily went to Cuba last summer. We spent our $ on private tours and buying local goods. We know we were supporting the government, but we also we supporting the Cuban people with our direct payments to them in cash. We really liked the country and the people and would like to go back. Maybe through Mexico or a Caribbean country now. There are lots of tourists in Cuba, just not a lot of American tourists!

We really like sailing out of Tampa. It is an easy drive from Charleston, SC. We still miss HAL sailing out of Port Canaveral.

Thank you so much for your help. This is exactly what I needed!

Good Morning! I have not been on CC for a long time, so I have forgotten things. We are going to sail on the Rotterdam in March of 2019. I thought there was someplace you could look at cabin photos. We are very picky about our cabins, and what I can see of the deck plans is confusing. We are looking on the verandah deck towards the rear, and on the HAL website it looks like some of the Vista Suites do not have a verandah, a little confusing to me. I looked on a ship deck plan website and the cabin #s don't even match. So, I am trying to see if there is a site where I can see actual cabin photos. Thanks in advance for your help.

How many duplicate threads across the different forums do you plan on having?
You received good advice on this one:
Thank you for your kind welcome to our first cruise on Royal Caribbean. I hope everyone we meet is as kind and gracious as you have proved yourself to be!

Does anyone know if there are any hotels in Tampa that will let you park your car in their lot during your cruise if you stay in them pre-cruise? I know there are some in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
Thanks

Thank you everyone for your help. We had a medical issue come up (we are fine now), so that's is why it took me so long to reply!

We are taking our first RCI cruise this summer. The Majesty of the Seas on July 23-28 Tampa, Key West and Havana. We have only done HAL before, but they pretty much abandon the Caribbean in the summer. We can only go on one cruise a year and this year we have to go in July. We are very excited to go to Cuba and to try a new cruise line. Both of us have wanted to go for years. What are a few things we should know about RCI?
