So if one wanted to walk, would you have to from the birth itself or does a ship/port buss take you to some type of terminal first and you walk from there?

I've book a room at 9 Hotel Cesari.  It has good reviews and is in the heart of old Rome.  

Doing the same in Sep,  from the research Ive done its not a long walk to the train station, about a mile.  There is also a bus from the port to the train station.  We pack light so we plan on walking.

My biggest issue with all of this is what time will I get off the ship, I would hate to book the first express train and not get off the ship earlier enough.  We are arriving on the second of October on the Emerald Princess, the itinerary says the ship arrives at 0500 but i have no idea what time we will get off the ship.

It looks like you only reserve your tickets a few mouths out.

I recorded it on my camera on the way down but I found myself looking at the camera and not what was going on.  Next time I would use a gopro or something like it that I can set and forget.

What do you guys think of the City wonders walking tours in Rome,  I was thinking of going on one or two but wanted to get some feedback from people who have been on them.

We have decided to take the upgrades. All 4 rooms in our party are now OE Plaza so we will see how it goes.

This cabin was offered as an upgrade from an interior room. Being on the bottom of the shop and all the way to the back is this really an upgrade?

It has a small footprint that is adjustable down to almost a monopole. I would never leave it alone or hog up space, just want to make sure I'm not the odd man out in doing this.

As this is our first cruse I have a few questions. What is the temp like on the ship, in the rooms. I know the weather in May can swing but knowing this will help me pack. Is it ok to set up a tripod on deck for my camera/binoculars? I have found lots of info about the smoking policy but not much about vapors, I know you can vape in your room but what about the rest of the ship?

I'm sure Ill think up more but this is good for now.
