Hi sure we rented electric bikes which were fun. Don’t need to go thru cruise ship- easily found online- just google and make a reservation ahead of time. We rode them on the outskirts of town where there’s a really nice path that takes you along the Mediterranean Sea to your left. Stopped at a little bakery on the way. We were docked on the weekend and there was a fabulous flea market in the center of town- after our bike trip- with amazing finds!!! Lots of little French lunch spots also throughout the town where you’ll find some yummy lunch treats. It’s a very walkable area. Have so much fun!

Hi all- we are taking our first mediterranean cruise in August on Celebrity reflection. I'm new to cruise critic and so enjoy reading all your great suggestions! Was hoping someone might have a suggestion for a "not to be missed" excursion or activity while in Corsica. We are active and really don't want to do an all day at the beach.

Villefranche is a beautiful small town and there is no need to go into Nice or Monaco if you prefer not to. Villefranche offers a great deal and you can head up into the Old Town to explore the medieval alleys and small streets where you will find several restaurants and boutiques selling various goodies. We found some excellent jewellery shops, but we also enjoyed gentle walking seeing the sights and backstreets soaking up the atmosphere.

Along the waterfront to your right from the tender drop off, there are also a selection of bars and shops - the Hotel Welcome is quite famous. Keeping the water on your right, you will come to the beach after a few minutes stroll.

It's a lovely port for a quiet day just mooching around at your own pace. Villefranche is one of our favourite stops and I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much.
