to get an actual answer to your question you'll need to at least supply the ship your interested in. But since they resupply between cruises and sell out during cruises even that won't be accurate.

According to https://cruisesheet.com/norwegian-norwegian-viva-7-night-san-juan-roundtrip-march-31-2024-1699e3 there are only inside cabins available. Maybe that's why it's not showing up.

I just checked and I've seen references to this occurring on various NCL ships as far back as 2019. Whether it's a lifeguard flexing his powers or specific ship rules that change I don't know. But it does occur and has for a while intermittently.

So what can we use the OBC for if not gratuities or casino? I had hoped to use it towards gratuities. I try not to spend a lot on ship. Excursions?
pretty much just drinks, food, and shopping

and don't forget the free bag of laundry

For bookings made on or after January 1, 2023:
- $25.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites;
- $20.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite and below;
For bookings made before January 1, 2023, that pre-pay their service charges before their sail date:
- $20.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites;
- $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite;
- $16.00 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types
-
And it is one bag per cabin.

Here is the brochure we received for our Land portion. We had the North bound tour.

Jewel cruise to Alaska end of May. NCL arranged the Cruise Critic meet and greet with the officers. My husband and I were the only ones to attend. Practically all the senior officers were there and offered any help we might need for the duration of the cruise.

Where do I see if I received the OBC if I didn't receive a confirmation email?

one thing I want to add to the free drink discussion. If you have Cheers watch out. Cheers covers a higher dollar amount drink, the free drink is up to $10 dollars. The computer automatically assigns it without warning when it is time, for me it was the first drink after 5pm on the last night. I actually had a charge when every other drink was free. Bar tender couldn't do anything about it. I paid the bill, went to guest services and complained and they refunded me the charge. Just want to warn people.

Thank you for posting this. Just called and saved $177 off our cruise to Alaska next May. The whole phone call was just under 6 minutes. Awesome.

I looked on the Carnival site and didn't see anything like this. Then I noticed the subtle references to Australia cruising. Carnival.com.au doesn't have the same rules as regular Carnival.com.

I'm cruising out of Port Canaveral in August and FTTF is available for the sailing.

Sounds to me like the servers were just fishing for additional tips, giving a sob story . I don't believe everyone pulled their tips.

Excellent intel! Cruise is 8/17..
I think we're going to do the cabana at Grand Turk, the view doesn't thrill me but having our own shady spot does..
We weren't sure what to do in Amber Cove..
My sister and I are on that cruise with you. It'll good to get away from this madness for a little while.

My problem is none of the lists provided go back before the Fantasy class ships in 1990. I know I cruised before then. I've sailed on the Jubilee, Festivale, Imagination, Celebration, Fascination, and Legend.

one possibility is to limit the number of available cabins. So when you see the ship looking full it could be because they are nearing their predetermined limit.

Unfortunately the $47 DOESN'T include the gratuities. After you add it your cart you see an additional 18% added to price.
-
Steamboats, that is what it SHOULD be. But they add the 18% after you put it in the cart, they also quote you $388.22 pp for a 7 day when you call. I went ahead and booked it fearing that it was an indicator of a price increase when we got on the ship. Liberty, May 22nd.
Luggage Tags?

Balcony cabins don't get luggage tags. They need to be printed out along with the boarding pass.
