  1. We did a Sept. 22, 2016 cruise on Anthem, which was the largest ship we have cruised on. It was too big for us, but saying that, we did like the I-fly and the Northstar. Kept getting disoriented and making the wrong turn when we come out of our cabin. Don't know if it was just something about the ship that made us do it or what. Will be doing a Nov. 2018 cruise on the Oasis. Would like any tips about cruising on the Oasis. Have booked a GS and meeting another couple from another cruise that also booked the same cruise. Have to learn about all the things we need to reserve before going, like dining times and locations. We are currently Diamond and will make Diamond plus soon.

The cruise we liked best of our 11 RCCL cruises, was the 23 day transpacific cruise in Oct 2017 abroad Explorer. The cruise was the most relaxing we have taken so far and it also was our 50th wedding anniversary cruise. We really liked it and this cruise was our second cruise on Explorer. Our very first RCCL cruise was on the Explorer back in Dec. 2004.

  2. I heard rumors that they were going to combine cruise points of these two lines. but I remember how much trouble they had when Royal changed there cruise points from 1 to 7 days, 4 to 9 or 10 days and etc. With that system you got 1 point for any cruise between 1 and 7 days, and two points for 8 to 10 or something like that. Then they started to give points according to the number of days. That made much more sense than getting the same point value on a 3 day cruise as a 9 or 10 day cruise. Celebrity does their points much differently that Royal and it will take a lot of effort to combine the points systems. Even though I would like it to happen, it may never come to reality. There also has been some scuttlebutt about adding at least one or two levels between Diamond Plus and Pinnacle. Quite a gap between 175 points for Diamond Plus and 700 points for Pinnacle.

  3. We just come off the Adventure, March 17th 7 day eastern Caribbean, and we couldn't go into the Casino because there were people smoking almost everywhere in the Casino. It was so bad that I literally could not breathe, had to get out as quick as possible. On other ships the smoking was limited to only small areas of the Casino, you could find an area that was non-smoking and at least you could tolerate the smoke. I did no gambling on the Adventure. Just a loss of $$ for RC.
