When did you both bid? I notice you sail in 3 days? Are they really waiting til the last minute to notify people. I know the offer email says (since we got one) that they'll let you know up until 3 days prior. We received our email weeks ago and our sailing is June 9.
Guess they are holding out for top dollar. I don't think $500 total to upgrade to a veranda is unreasonable at all unless maybe all they had were the sunset verandas but even still. You'll have a good time either way. You will sailing on the ship regardless.
I got the initial email on April 24 for the May 25 sailing. It's been shown as sold out since then.

Did the move up offer come directly to you? Or from Celebrity to your TA to you?
Direct from Celebrity

We booked with a TA and are first time Celebrity cruisers.

I recieved the Move up email for our upcoming Equinox cruise on May 25th. When I looked at the website to see what the Aqua and Suite prices were they show as not available. Does Celebrity keep some of these cabins open for upgrade opportunities?
-
Well, nothing is what seems with cabin prices. In order to keep all the OBC and perks with our original booking it would end up being a little over $500 pp to upgrade. I think we stick with what we've got. Thanks for all the input.:cool::cool:

I would definitely go for it, and quickly. Things change every day. Your current forward cabin has no special attributes. Concierge benefits don't compare with Aqua and a midship cabin will feel less movement than the forward cabins. Go for it.
Here is a great website to check out the potential cabins.
Just sent my TA an email

1106 is a great cabin angled at the hump, starboard side, bed by the window.
oops, typo I meant 1006. Right up front

If you have a Travel Agent, check with them, if not, call Celebrity direct. From everything I have read, Aqua could definitely be worth an extra $50 per cabin. You are able to eat in what is supposed to be a much more intimate and higher quality restaurant, "Blu". The only caution would be to check which Aqua cabin is available and see the placement is acceptable to you.
We are quite forward now and from the website it looks like only 4 or 5 Aquas are available midship. All others look unavailable.

We're booked on Equinox May 25th. Currently we are guarantee concierge (assigned 1106) I noticed the price has dropped for GTY Aqua class to be only $50 more per person than what we currently have. Is it worth it to try and upgrade and more importantly is it even possible.

Your brother in law undoubtedly signed up for the European NFL Sunday Ticket subscription. I know that a US NFL Sunday Ticket subscription will not work outside the US (I have previously checked) unless you use the VPN idea somebody suggested above.
Tom & Judy
It's actually NFL Network NFL Game Pass. Only works with a non-US based TCP/IP address. Works without VPN if you are not in the US. We used his subscription to watch a couple of games and we live in Haiti.

A subscription to NFL network will let you stream games if you are out of the country. My brother-in-law lived in France and was always able to watch the Pats.

Brilliant! Thanks a lot. I've been playing "Hunt the eDocs" for ages.
For some, who are having trouble printing the edocs make sure you turn off pop up blockers in your browser. After I did that the edocs magically downloaded;)

Thanks, I just read in another thread that they sometimes discount the upgrade once you are on board. Might just wait and see.

Hi all,
My wife and I are scheduled to be on Equinox on May 25th. We both received the classic beverage pkg as part of our booking and was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to premium before we board. I don't see the option to do this on the website.
Thanks
