  1. Thank you for all of the information. Excited to try a different cruise line. Hubby loves the Carnival Magic and is a creature of habit. It took a little convincing to get him to consider a different line but when I told him this was about $600 cheaper with $300 obc he gave in. [emoji3] more $$$ for the casino! Will join the other group. Thanks for the invite!

  2. We have 8 cruises with Carnival and have just booked a 14 day with the Caribbean princess on Mar 6! Yay! We have a balcony and I always use an over the door shoe bag to keep my cabin organized.

    1. Can we use one on the Princess ship doors? Either the bathroom or closet doors.

    2. It looks like the cabin is quite a bit smaller than the balconies on Carnival. No couch, etc. so is the closet space very generous?

    3. It looks like the balcony is deeper. Right?

    4. They say "queen" beds. Are they bigger than that?

  3. First of all to those who don't like the game - don't go! No one says you have to attend!

Also, it really depends on how long you have been married if you get to go up. We have been married 40 years and so are always right in between the age groups so don't really have much of a chance unless it's for the oldest couple but there always seems to be someone who is on their 50th anniversary cruise!

We enjoyed it so much that I used the same idea at our Relay for Life event the last couple of years and it's always a big hit with the crowd. You never can tell how some couples will answer the questions!

  4. Thanks for the info LizaMM!

We have only been on one other cruise - last May on the Triumph and had cabin 8315. It was great! Loved having a balcony and will probably never cruise without one.

Question: I have read where some people experience some seasickness on the top decks. I was just the opposite. When I was down in the dining room or sitting in the showroom I could feel motion - my dh kept saying I was crazy - he couldn't feel a thing! I was very sensitive to the motion but it really didn't make me sick. Does anyone else experience this? I never noticed anything at all in our cabin or up on the Lido.

  6. I have photo-copied the pages out my Frommer's and other guides and put them in my travel doc case! It's such a great book, I hate to tear pages out and don't really want to take it with me.

I also cut and pasted maps of the islands all on one page so I will have it on one quick reference.

I do this type of thing for my boss for his travel itineraries and my hubby when he travels - they can never follow directions unless I spell it out for them.... Sorry guys;)
