  2. Hi everyone,

Has anyone here done the Rays, Conch and Reef snorkel offered at Grand Turk thru Carnival with a 1 year old? It says no minimum age required but when I tried to add him it says purchase not available. Is that because he is too small to pay or too small to go?

**edit: We are four adults, an older child and the baby.

I'm waiting for my PVP to respond but wanted to check with you guys too.

    Thanks

  3. Sorry to those who are sick of my KETO DIET questions. As I am very happy and feel great on this diet- ( make that lifestyle) I will be continuing o follow this on my 2 upcoming cruises. So I admit I am not a wine connoisseur and certainly drink very little of them at home.....BUT when I m in the casino in the evenings ( on board ship) I LOVE having a few glasses( 3 or 4/evening) of white wine. SO I am asking does anyone know which type of white wine would have the less sugar ie less carbs so I can stay on my plan as much as possible. ie Does a Prosecco have more than a Chardonney......fortunately for me I enjoy them all so just hoping someone here might know the answer and that is what I ll drink. PS Being a KETO girl now I have to read every nutritional label before I try anything new...but somehow I just dont see the Carnival bar tender letting me read the label on the bottle LOL .... Picture that LOL Again thanks for any help you can give me ! Everyone here has always been so helpful to me !

My MIL is going with us on our upcoming cruise and she's Keto. I know she's planning to stick to dry red wines, dry white wines or champagne. Your best bet if you want white is to stick to Pinot Blanc or Pinot Grigio. These two have 2.85-3 carbs a glass. Chardonnay has 3.1 carbs a glass and Prosecco has 5 carbs, I believe.

I'm going to attach the link she uses to look that up. https://www.ruled.me/ketogenic-diet-and-alcohol/

Hope that helps! Good luck :)

  4. While many really enjoy Jack's Shack, we don't.

We found the waits for service -- drinks & food -- to be way too long for us. :(

Where do you recommend to go instead? thanks!

  5. A new offer was added to my American Express account last night.

Spend $750 or more at The World's Leading Cruise Lines (Carnival, Princess, HAL, Seabourn, Cunard) and get a $150 credit.

Expires 10/15. There are some exclusions and details.

I plan to call Carnival this morning and pay my balance. We'll see if it works!

    B

Do you know if this would work if paying for excursions or Cheers?

  6. Hi everyone!

We sail next month on Horizon and couldn't be more excited.

For those of you who have traveled with toddlers: have you ever taken an inflatable toddler bed? Found one on amazon and just wanted to see if that was something someone had taken before. I know pack and plays are offered in the cruise but we are staying in a inside stateroom. I'm trying to maximize our space as much as possible.

    TIA!

  7. In reality, the only time you would possibly have an issue is when you have a different last name than the child. That is usually the only time they will ask for any sort of linking document. Although in reality they COULD ask at any time they rarely, if ever, do.

Ive remarried since so my name is different. I’m going to go ahead and use the one posted above as a precaution. Last thing I want is to end up needing it.

THanks everyone for your input! :D

  8. You don't know what should be in the letter.

But he is being difficult because HE doesn't know what should be in the letter and wants a template?

Maybe he just wants to make sure the letter is adequate so you and his biological daughter don't end up being denied boarding?

I sure would want to make sure any such letter I ever had to sign would be correct and effective.

I guess I should clarify. I assumed it’s the same basics as the one I have used before when we have traveled by air out of the country. Name of parents, countries visiting, date leaving and expected return, etc. But he wants a template from Carnival.

He’s not being difficult because he’s a gracious person who wants to make sure we board without a problem. He’s being difficult because that’s just the person he is. Asking for any sort Of document out of this Man is like pulling teeth. But thanks for your input.

  9. If you're one of the biological parents, the letter is unnecessary. You don't need both genetic contributors to travel with a minor. The letter only applies if for example a teenager is going on a cruise with their friend's parents minus either of their genetic parents or legal guardians.

Gotcha. I kept getting mixed comments on this so I wanted to clarify.

    Thanks!

  10. Hey everyone! We are on the Carnival Horizon on October 6th out of Miami. Can someone please give me an idea on what to ask my daughter's biological father to write in his letter? He's being difficult and asking me for a template. I'm trying to make this as pain free as possible so if anyone out there has a template or an old one of theirs that they can share, please pass it along.

    Thank you!

  11. Hey everyone.

My family and I just booked an 8 day cruise with Carnival for October. My now 6 month old will be 1 by then. Just curious on what excursions to do, what not to do, and any advice from parents who have already done this.

We have an 10 year old daughter as well so we want to make this fun and enjoyable for everyone.

Also, I know that my son cannot participate in the kid clubs but any chance anyone here has any information on the childcare service they do offer for them? In case Husband and I may want a couple hours off? Thanks!

  12. Hi everyone. We just booked our cruise leaving October 6th thru Carnival's Horizon. We are soooo excited.

I just need some advice or even recommendations as far as excursions and what to do with a baby. He turns 1 three days before we board.

Our itinerary includes: Grand Turk, San Juan, St Kitts and St Marteen.

    Thanks in advance!
