  1. $510 for the third passenger seems high.  Usually the third and fourth passengers are around $199-$299 at the most.  (First and second passengers pay the bulk but when you get a quote and they give you a per passenger quote, they are actually dividing the entire fare by three.  It does sounds like they are taking the whole cabin price and dividing it by three which is not the accurate third passenger fare.  If you log into carnival.com and enter your booking number, you will be able to see the actual fare breakdown per passenger in the booking details.

Example:  Let's say the cruise price is $1599. When they divide that by 3, the per person price is $533.  But what it usually looks like is:  First passenger $683, Second passenger $683 and third passenger $233.  (I'm making up taxes and fees of $33 per person).  Make sense?

  2. Hello! I have gotten casino offers maybe once a year. Usually its a cheaper rate and $25 cash. I just booked the Breeze in october. My offer says up to 500 off fun select and casino cash which i found out is $40. My flyer says PTC. No obc though. I am learning a lot here. Last cruise was 5 days last october and i earned DOU on the third or fourth night. I only play slots. Im hoping to learn how to get better offers. 😃

  3. I'm curious about this too. I emailed Carnival about the Blue Lagoon excursion because its advertised as 6 hours but since its fairly new, there are only two reviews and both mention short time on the island. Carnival emailed that they don't use the "public" ferry so time on the island is approximately 4.5 hours. I'm wondering how accurate that is because of those two bad reviews.

Hoping to hear from someone who has the real scoop. We sail in October.

  4. Hello...hope you don't mind me stopping in but I'm looking for a hotel within 30 minutes of the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Our cruise is not till October out of Canaveral, but we have to go pick up our son at the Ft. Lauderdale airport tomorrow and we're looking to stay overnight.

Its me, hubby, 2 daughters 4 and 10 and our son who is coming in late tomorrow night. he's 15. Wanted to stay on the beach or very near the beach. Breakfast included is a plus.

HELP! Please. I'm running out of time. (we just found out the flight is coming in at almost 11PM which is why I'm looking so late. Two double beds and a sofa bed would be perfect. If not, we can make do with just two double beds for one night.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. Before my dad passed 8 years ago, I scheduled him to cruise with us. At the time, the Carnival ships did not have dialysis onboard. I had to schedule dialysis at port. Since you are never guaranteed to arrive at a port, I had to schedule the dialysis at two ports even though he only needed one treatment that week. (He was treated before we left and the day we returned. It was a 5 night cruise.) This required sending copies of his medical records ahead of time to both facilities (Nassau and Grand Turk). He ended up having his dialysis done at Grand Turk. Carnival offered him transportation to and from the dialysis facility. The nurses at Grand Turk were wonderful to him and my mom. I then called the facility at Nassau and cancelled his appointment. They were aware it could be cancelled. It has to be scheduled ahead of time to be sure they have a bed for the patient.

Please feel free to ask me anything. It was a long time ago, but since I am the one who scheduled it, I remember a lot of it.

  6. I purchased the last FTTF available for my 10/18 sunshine sailing. I no longer see ANY excursions for Port Canaveral. Not even the advisory. I am looking into another FTTF for my mom's cabin on the same cruise. I emailed shore excursions and was told that FTTF is currently sold out for my sailing and if its not full to capacity for that sailing, they may release a few more closer to our date of departure.

  7. I feel exactly the same way. Can't beat the value for a family of 5. I make the best out of every situation. I love waking up in a different place every day. I love that there's always something to eat even for the pickiest children and best of all, I didn't have to cook any of it...lol...I've been on 6 carnival cruises (have another scheduled in Oct) and one Disney cruise and I can say I've enjoyed the heck out of every single one. No one has ever gone hungry. I've always found something to do. I've never had an issue with a crew member. I can't believe I have to wait 211 days to do it again.

  8. We are a family of 5 and always get one cabin. Its way more expensive to get two. Our little one sleeps with her sister anyway so no need for a trundle. We didn't feel crowded at all. We unpack what we need and store the luggage under the bed. I bring an over the door organizer for the bathroom to clear up counter space and make everything easy to find. from hair scrunchies to medication, hair brushes, medication, sunblock, etc.

$30 for an oceanview is a great deal. The natural light and outside view is wonderful. You won't regret it. Riviera and Main decks are also very quiet. And the bonus is that although you have to take the elevator to get up to the upper decks, when you come back from a port, you don't have to wait for an elevator since its just one or two flights of stairs...saves lots of time.

  9. looks like the Balmoral Island Deluxe (with lunch) went up to 69.99. I'm not sure i'm willing to pay $20 for lunch if i'm not sure we'll be hungry. Might just get the beach day and play it by ear for the food.
