  1. Update* we were disembarked today and taken straight to quarantine hotel (which isn’t very good) no tea/coffee, no room service, no fridge. No choice of meals, a bag is left at your door if you don’t like it tough, if you have an allergy tough. It’s absolutely appalling food my 7 year old son has only eaten a bread roll today, I like/need coffee and rang reception to see if I could get one and the phone was put down on me. Prison would be nicer.

We haven’t had any formal communication but it has been suggested our 5 days of quarantine onboard won’t count towards our 10 days, which if true I would be annoyed at Royal for not disembarking us sooner in one of the ports of call we had.

The only good news is my wife and 11 year old daughter are in the room opposite, we managed to open up both doors briefly to see each other and say hi (at a distance) RC were great onboard despite the circumstances but now I feel they have Royaly shafted us, told us a name of a different hotel that we would be going to, told us a $100 per person for food. But we can’t order anything.

This is the only cruise I will come home lighter.

  2. Seeing some pricing on Facebook groups suggest much more expensive in the school holidays (expected) I saw one booking for a veranda 3 adults 3 nights (£3300) a family of 4 inside from Liverpool (£1900)

for me it looks like I can book 7 nights on MSCs new ship with premium drinks, 4 ports of call, all grats for roughly the same money as this 3 night DCL cruise without those additional benefits.

  3. Yes I’m hoping for this information too.

I can’t imagine I would book any cruise where I would need to join a virtual queue just to go outside, but intrigued by the pricing before the restrictions I thought £3000 for family of 4 for 3 nights, now I’m thinking £1500 with no buffet, no character meets, one show, limited kids club use.....doesn’t sound like much of a holiday.

  4.  Very excited by this especially as they seem to be only DCL and MSC that will allow unvaccinated guests (although I would probably have my first one done by then)

Anyone have an idea of price for a family of 4? I’m guessing it will be expensive, I’m thinking 3 nights for roughly £3000?

  5. Hi All,

Some great information there, we plan to renew our vows on the Crown in April can anyone advise on the costs for extras? Is photography including?

We would actually prefer not to renew on a formal formal night is this possible? It would really help with packing to know this.

super excited after reading your posts!

    Thanks
