  1. What is the best way to travel from London to Amsterdam? "Best" may be very subjective.

The train might be fun, especially because my husband wants to travel through the Chunnel. Is taking the train too complicated? Are there too many transfers? We will be a group of six with lots of luggage.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Our cruise ship is docking at Black Falcon Terminal for the day. We will be disembarking in Boston, along with 3,000 other passengers :) which is why I was hoping to make reservations for the taxi.

Maybe this is a non-issue and getting a six passenger taxi van is easy. I just don't know that.

    Thank you

  3. Hello,

Do any of the taxi companies take reservations in advance? I will need a six passenger van. I have called one taxi company so far and they just need 15 minutes notice. Anyone have a favorite taxi company in Boston?

    Thanks in advance.

    Dana

  4. All of your replies have been very helpful. Is it relatively easy to walk from the port into the city and catch the 800 bus out to the falls? Did you find the buses to be crowded? I picture a crowd of people waiting to embark, making it difficult to get a seat. If that's not the case, this may be our best option.

Does anyone have experience with the tour company, Voir Quebec? They have a private tour that might work for our group of six, that tours the city, plus goes out to the falls. Of course this is much more expensive than touring on our own.

Thanks again in advance....still pondering the best option for our group!

  5. I appreciate all of your replies. I am trying to decide whether we should do this all on our own or if it might be easier for our group to hire a tour company that would take us through the city, plus out to Montmorency Falls.

    Thank you again.

  6. Hello, our ship will be docked in Sydney from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. I have looked into doing a private tour that goes to Cabot Trail, but the tour is six hours. I certainly want to make sure we get back to the ship in time and don't want to spend the time stressing about running out of time.

For such a short time in port, would it be better to plan an excursion that would take us to the Fortress of Louisbourg? This excursion appears to be 3 to 5 hours in length, which may be more relaxed than the 6 hour tour that goes to Cabot Trail.

I appreciate any thoughts on this subject.

    Thank you in advance.

  7. If you have taken the private carriage ride tour, Carriages of Acadia, I have a few questions:

    1. Which tour length did you take? 1, 2, 3, or 4 hour?

    2. How did you get from the cruise ship to the carriage ride location at Acadia National Park?

    3. Did you enjoy this tour?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  8. Thanks so much for the replies. I love the photo, Atwell!

If our cabin is toward the back of the ship, but on the side, any idea if there are awnings below that location? Judging by the photo, the view of the water doesn't seem to be terribly obstructed. I would just like to know what to expect.

    Thanks again.
