    Hi @RJChatsworth .

You're obviously not a member of the more popular Cunard fb groups.

Their pages are awash with everything you desire.

    😉😉

The FB groups are a cesspit. Dip in grab info and leave without comment, or you will be ridiculed talked down to and even just laughed at for asking a mere question.

The latest render from this week (with the slot machines in the background) looks like the casino bar, seems very low.  And looking back through all the previous renders they do give that impression.  Because this HAL class of ships that the QA is based upon have a lot more superstructure compared to the QV and QE, I wonder if they have reduced the height of each deck for stability purposes?  I am due on the maiden voyage, if I remember I will take a tape measure and the same on my next QV voyage to see if there is a difference.

If you look at the photos I shared you can see the finished casino and the ceiling height looks about the same as the others. This render makes it look much lower than it is

    Just a query........

I am looking to organise a Meet and Greet for a future cruise on the Queen Victoria. Having never cruised on Cunard before, how would one go about organising a Meet and Greet on board? Is there a Cunard person to go through to assist in such organising? Or does one just pick a time and place?

If the latter is the case, where is good quiet venue on the QV to organise a small gathering for mid morning?

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

You can find your Roll call here or even start your own if one has not been made yet.
I seem to be unable to add a link but check top of the forum and click on Roll Calls
See if this link works now

  4. I can not take credit for any of these photos I've 'borrowed' them from somewhere and maybe the people credited did the same to I can only name the names I see.

Love the seats but really not so the height of the ceiling. Wonder if you lose atmosphere and grandeur.
Out side pool no idea what area or deck. Looks like a hoist for aiding into the pool to which is great.

Along w the gross BUFFET BEHAVIOR....on all ships & on land - IT AMAZES ME HOW MANY PEOPLE DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER  USING THE REST ROOM!!!

I have seen this many times, and I am using the Ladies! I don't care now I actually call them out with an excuse me you're not really leaving without washing your hands are you.

  6. The price seems a little steep. Of course, it is each to your own but taking on board your own bottled water and treating your selves to Veranda dinning every nigh instead of Britannia would also give you an 'extra' dining experience and probably still be less cost than an upgrade that is more dining led than cabin comfort.

So do you pack your wine bottle (wrapped safely) in your checked-in luggage or do you carry it on yourself in hand luggage? Just want to do the right and sensible thing, not trying to "sneak" anything onboard.

    No need to sneak.
I badly packed in a backpack [never again] zip broke just as we were going through security and out it all falls from a height onto the carpet. 2x prosecco, 1x baileys and 1x bottle gin. plus tonic for good measure. All survived, apart from a frothing bottle of prosecco. I am about to die of shame only to look at the security lady who said ohh that's a shame do you want to drink it now 🤣

  8. I am sure it is in here somewhere but this is a very very long thread. I had no idea it started in 2007.
What are you given in the PG I understand it is a full bottle but please tell me its not Polack it can't be can it?

  9. I will be extremely disappointed if there is indeed no room to boogie. Had the time of my life on QM2 last year at my first ever silent disco! Who knew listening to "your" music choice while watching some raving lunatic bopping out of tune could be such fun. I have everything crossed the BLS club stage area becomes a dance floor, especially as she looks more modern so would assume also looking to entice a younger audience.
On a short cruise on her this August, so staying hopeful.

  10. I have not been on QM2 since 2018, so will just take photos and leave it to you to decide if it is new or old. I think everything had had a spit and police. Our cabin on level 5 seems the same but carpet might be new. Bedding top throw seems new. New shower heads/curtains.  All plug sockets seem the same. New cushions on sofa and new curtains. The ship seems very very busy and we waited well over 30min to get a drink in the Chart room. Not to much of a problem and was to be expected but maybe need a few more staff as there were only 2 behind the bar. I hope this evening is better. We are heading into Bruges tomorrow [Friday] instead of Saturday due to weather.
