Thanks to everyone for their input regarding Deck 8 on this ship.  Based on the input and information found elsewhere we will avoid deck 8.  The cruise we are considering is 17 days so it's a longer time if there is noise!  We will go to a verandah cabin instead unless SS cabin opens up on a lower deck, mid shiip.

We are considering a Signature Suite on the Oosterdam - deck 8 mid ship a few cabins from the elevators.  Wondering if we will encounter noise from Deck 9?  If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated!

Have been to PV before and this time considering just going to a nice hotel pool/beach area for the day.  Does anyone have any recent experiences?  If yes, could you advise the name of the hotel and the day rate?

We used BKK for an overnight in Bangkok in 2017. Just contacted them for our next cruise in February and yes, were told they no longer pick-up at the port.

I'm considering using the ships 2 day transfer (Celebrity Constellation) to get us in/out of the city and BKK for a tour. If anyone has used the ships transfer can you advise what time it leaves the ship and returns (approximately)?

As an fyi, we also used Tours by Tong a number of years ago for another overnight in Bangkok and it was great. She was very responsive to emails etc....since then I think she's just too busy and the responses are VERY slow....that's why I tried BKK tours on our last trip and they have always been very responsive.

We've stayed at the Novotel Citygate twice....free shuttle to/from the airport, connected to a large shopping mall and a few minutes walk to the Big Buddha gondola. The rooms aren't large but suffice for a "transit" hotel.

Capt Ron...noted that you went to Siem Reap post cruise....we will be doing that on our next trip (also going to Chiang Mai). Where did you stay, did you do any tours or just hire a driver for Angor Wat....any tips/recommendations?

Thanks for the info and the link. They are on the Summit and docked at Wharf 22 so the main building will be our rendezvous point.

We will be meeting friends at the Quebec City port. Can the public drive in to the port area and if yes would it be reasonable to meet them at the Terminal Building? Are taxis readily available at the Terminal building and is it far to walk from the ship to the Old Port area/restaurants etc? Thanks for any assistance!
