  1. At one time one of the major chain hotels near the Superdome (was it Hyatt?) had a park, sleep, cruise package. I think you are better off parking at the Fulton garage and staying pre- and or post-cruise at a nearby hotel. Lots in walking distance.

    This link might help:

This is an awesome site. thanks so much this is exactly what I wanted. a lot cheaper to get hotel and leave car. There are 3 of us so we can divide the costs but will have 3 cars so rooftop will be times 3

  2. What is the cheapest parking people have found in NOLA. With a shuttle of course to the port.

Or a hotel that will let you leave your car for the week if we stay the night before the cruise

    Thanks Kynicki

  3. Is there a significant savings if you book a future cruise while still on a cruise? Do you have to pick dates and know exactly how many are going? I was on a cruise less than a month ago. Since then I have booked another. And feel I should have done it while on the ship but not sure if i would have saved. So thinking maybe next time I could do that and book it a year or two out. But I don't know who will go or where we even want to go? I guess if it is significant I can start thinking about that now but if it really isn't any different than booking it now for a year or two out then I won't thanks Kynickie

  4. Thanks to everyone for their advice. I am glad I asked because I did not know I needed to take cash. I see now that that is the best way. I will be taking singles fives and tens. I don't expect to spend much so won't be a big deal.just a few souveniers or bottle of water. thanks again Kynickie

  5. Thanks for all the replies. I don't know who sent the pre cruise stay list of hotels but that was exactly what I was looking for. There were three that had free parking and free shuttles to and from the port. Will be cruising in less than 2 weeks thanks a bunch. Kynickie

  6. So you are saying I do need cash. You said they won't take amex what about master card or visa. I would rather use a card. But just wanted to know if I have to have some cash? Or if I can rely on credit card only thanks

  7. I am going to Yucatan and Cozumel.

Do I need cash for anything? Taxi? Beach chairs? Buying water bottles ? Anyone have suggestions on if I do and how much. Do they take American Express? Thanks Kynickie

  8. We use ParknCruise 3 times (one more booked this summer) and have loved them. Option for "covered" parking, but you are actually in a building that they close and lock. And it is just across the street from the pier. We have in the past usually just parked and then taken our luggage across, but this year we will drop off the luggage and then park due to a larger party going. Oh and Gig 'em!

    How much is parking
