  1. We are traveling with another couple. DH and I would like to be seated with them at dinner each night. We all have selected the 6 pm dining time and our reservations are linked. Do we need to talk to the Dining Room staff make sure we are seated together?  Also, we all made reservations for the steakhouse for the same night and time. I assume we need to talk to someone at the Steakhouse so that we are seated together. Suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

  2. I love all the helpful suggestions. I have been cruising for over 20 yrs but the last time was before covid hit. Things have changed a bit so thanks for all your ideas.  It is really nice to know what to expect. I am so excited to be sailing once again!

  3. I haven't does this for awhile so I want to know how you bring your allowed 12 pack of soda on board.  Do you put it in the carry-on bag? Or do you simply carry it in your hand? If you're traveling with your spouse, do you each have to carry you own? I hope this does sound stupid, just trying to be prepared. FYI: we're on Panorama leaving out of Long Beach if that makes a difference. Thanks!

  4. I am wondering, does the assigned boarding zone have anything to do with your check-in time? DH and I are cruising with friends.  We all have a checking time of 10-10:30.  But, DH and I finished our online check-in process when we selected our check-in time and got boarding Zone A01 . Our friends only secured their check-in time but still have to finish their online check-in process.  Will they have a different Boarding Zone than us?  This is all new so I'm trying to understand how this works.  Thanks!

  5. So... I've been reading through as many posts as I can to figure out this whole LAX/LAX-it thing. I've been on the LAX website gathering info. This is how I am understanding how we get to our Long Beach Hotel. Please let me know if I have it right or give me correct info:

Flying in on Delta, which I think uses terminal 3.

We go to Baggage Claim and get our bags.

We call Uber or Lyft for a ride to our hotel.

We head outside to a green LAXit sign and wait for the shuttle.

The shuttle will take us to LAX-it where we will meet up with our ride.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

  6. I have been sifting through all the posts about rides to and from LAX but need some clarity.  There are 4 adults traveling together and sailing on Carnival Panorama and LAX is new to all of us. We arrive on a Thursday and will be staying at a hotel in Long Beach. Is it possible for Uber or Lyft premium services to pick us up at the curb?  On our return trip to LAX can they drop us the terminal? Thanks for any info.

  7. I absolutely loved, Loved, LOVED the Havana area on the Vista! We had an extended aft balcony in 2019. It was great to be able to get a chair by the pool and have room in the hot tub. And no little ones running around.  DH and I are finally getting back on a cruise ship in January 2023. This time we have a Havana Premium Vista Balcony on Panorama. I'm so excited!  61 days WOOHOO!

  8. Several years ago a member of CC posted a really nice Cruise Packing List.  I have search on many different boards to find it with no luck. I did make a copy but I want to see if there are any new idea that have been added. I find the folks here on the Carnival board the most helpful. If anyone knows where I can find this list, please let me know.  Thanks!

  9. Thanks for all your input. We sail on Panorama 1/14/23 thru 1/21/23.  DH and I have always loved the comedy shows.  One of our friends traveling with us this trip used to be a comic on Carnival 30+ yrs ago. He's a pretty funny guy but is definitely in the family friendly category. Can't wait to check out some of the shows!
