While making my dining reservations I just asked and they told me that the ship had a "tremendous" amount of openings, but then again I do not sail until December 1st.

We do the 1-1-1 when we eat and still show an "extra" gratuity added to our room.

Hi.
Is OSheehans gone? My dh and I enjoy going there at 2 am. I NEVER eat like that at home and loved going there after being out.
I looked on Decks 5-8 and didnt see it.
Thank you.
It is gone, but they have a replacement called, "The Local Bar and Grill."

ARE GRATUITIES INCLUDED IN THE SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE PRICE?
No, a 20% gratuity and specialty service charge will be automatically added to the cost of your package.
I believe ours was added to our running bill, but they just took it out of our credits.

The Pearl was fine as a ship, but it is the crew that makes or breaks it and I have no real desire to take the Pearl again. Kids pool two tables away from the smoking area. I don't smoke, but those I was with were getting grief. Unruly unaccompanied children in hot tubs just told to settle down instead of get out. These were maybe 8 to 12 year olds. Cruise director was boring. Party time on the deck was getting people to do aerobics. The Dawn was a great cruise.

Packed plastic straws for our trip on the Pearl and never used them. I drank BBC's and others and I never drink anything without a straw and I never missed it at all.

How much walking was required to get to the transport for the tour? Some ports have some type of golf cart type vehicles to transport people from the ship to the end of the dock. Do they have this at the Costa Maya port? When you get to the area where the NCL people are holding signs, how much further do you have to walk to get to the bus or van that’s providing transportation?

I don't remember exactly how much was involved, but it was a short walk to the bus and maybe a half block to the Salsa. I am in my 60's and have only 1 good foot and 70 lbs overweight and I made it with no difficulties.

I get the free bottles from the casino and store them in the mini fridge.

Did the Salsa and Salsa dance and it was very fun. It was like a comedy show while making the Salsa. Sat more than danced which was fine with me. Dancing was by choice. Some people just watched the rest of us make fools out of ourselves with our two left feet, but we all had a great time.

I buy it for peace of mind.

Also check out promotions from your casino. I just got off the Pearl and Harrahs had a promo, your CAS points would be matched with your Harrahs tier points.

We are old and fat and we walked it with a roll away and a carry on each.

Behind the scenes tours (theater, galley, laundry, environmental) are sold at the shore excursion desk for about $80 on sea days.
There is a free, walking tour of public areas on embarkation day.
Wow, those use to be FREE!
I remember my first cruise was my honeymoon on Carnival over 26 years ago, On the bridge I asked if they had a protocol for a terrorist attack and their own weaponry on board. I had a shadow for the rest of the cruise.

Personally I felt it was a waste of time. A place to pay for food, pay for drinks and swim in the ocean if you weren't hitting the shops or the Real Estate Company trying to sell you a vacation home. It is lush and clean.

I asked when the online reservations would be made available for our cruise and they told me when. I went in that morning (which is the day after final payment has to be made. Got all 3 of mine made with 6 pm times.

Sorry this is for the Encore their new ship.
What I was trying to say is just call them and maybe they will let you know.
