Hi Patti (from Patty), I'm enjoying your Live blog. I'm going August 3, wondering if you might be able to share the current itinerary (seems they have dropped St. George's as a port and added a day in Dockyard and Hamilton instead....) And also, for the excursions you had booked in St. George's, are they cancelled, or how are they being handled? Thanks!

Maybe she's planning on staying in town on Wed evenings to take advantage of Harbour Nights, which start next week.
Altho' Harbour Nights are meant (?!) to be Safe Key, but maybe the cruise card will be sufficient.
I hope you're right, we sail on Aug 3 and I would love to be able to enjoy the festivities of Harbour Nights on our Wednesday!!

I hope they do open up the protocols by mid July, for independent walkabouts.
Mitch all depends on Covid free ships before ours and the total opening of Bermuda with most of residents vaccinated .which beach is your favorite ? I will keep it on my list.
I love Tobacco Bay and John Smith's Bay.

I don't doubt that as a first time visitor you will still have a very enjoyable time, but if things loosen up enough for these mandatory tours to no longer become mandatory, the single best piece of advice I can give is to just ditch them all and do it on your own. It's not a big place and is easy to do without the group element.
And regardless of how tenuous your current relationship is with the beach chair, just make even a little time for the beach. You would have to fly 12 hours to Hawaii to find ones that are as nice. They are one of the signature elements of any Bermuda trip.
I agree, easy to explore on your own, and the Bermuda Beaches are AWESOME! I love Tobacco Bay. Guess how many of the planned Viking excursions get you some time on a beach? Zero!! You can ride by on an E Bike, or see them from a motor coach, but you can't put your toes in any pink sand! So sad.
