  1. Here is my very recent experience for GC's shipped to SoCal...

    ORDER #1

    9/23/18 ordered $500 GC's at 9:24pm PST

    9/26/18 order was processed and shipped UPS Ground, signature required

    10/2/18 order delivered (today)

    ORDER #2

    9/26/18 ordered $500 GC at 12:06pm PST

    10/1/18 order was processed and shipped UPS Ground, signature required

    10/5/18 order "scheduled" for delivery

    Processing = 2-3 business days

    Shipping = 3-4 business days

    I think it all depends on 1) the value of GC's you order, 2) how long they take to process the order and 3) how far away you are from OH... for 10/21/18 you should be fine. :)

  2. Hey all!

    Hubby and I are seasoned cruisers, however we have not sailed since Carnival implemented the new check-in/boarding process where your sail and sign cards are left at your cabin door instead of you receiving them at check-in. So, I have a few questions about the new boarding/check-in procedures on Carnival.

    1. Are you allowed to go and grab your sail & sign cards as soon as you get on board even if it is before 1:30pm?

    2. If you are not allowed to get your sail & sign cards before 1:30 and you board earlier, how will it work if I want a "drink of the day" or soda as soon as I get on board?

    If you have any other advise or tips please share (but be nice please - lol!)

    I’m a new cruiser (Inspiration 4-day in June) and I’ve been trying to gather as much current info on this topic as it appears Long Beach uses this new procedure and, I too had been curious about how to make purchases prior to receiving our S&S cards at 1:30. :confused:

    Many thanks for the post as well as all the replies... it’s very helpful!

  3. We didn't have any sort of priority check-in. We arrived at the terminal at 11:20 or so. Our check-in time was 12:30. When we got in the building we went to the early/late check-in, which had no line. In fact there were no lines to be found. We were on the ship, even at our very slow moving walking pace by 11:45.

    I'm guess that any time after 11 would be good for the original poster, as long as nothing has gone funky at the terminal causing a back-log getting on the ship.

    Thank you for your non-priority check-in report, it was very helpful!!

  4. I just noticed this digital coupon at my local Kroger store (Fred Meyers in Idaho) Its perfect timing for me as its 4X on gas points for gift card purchases right now and I'm heading out on the Inspiration in a couple of days.

    "Save $10.00 on Carnival Cruise Lines when you buy (1) ONE Carnival Cruise Line Gift Card totaling $100 or more

    Offer available in store only. Product and offer may not be available in all states.

    Limit of one coupon per household. Digital Coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item. Specially marked items, such as Clearance or Manager’s Specials may not be eligible for Digital Coupons.

    Exp 05/15/2018"

    Thanks for that heads up. Just found it and added it to my card.

    I always buy extra carnival GCs when they do 4x fuel points. I'm going to spend it on the ship anyway.

    And right now ... through May 31 ... you also get an extra 5% cash back if you use Discover.

    So 10% cash back, $10 off ... and 4x fuel points ... that's a WIN/WIN in my book!

    I had to register just to say, "THANK YOU!" to both of you!!

    The 10% off was great, the extra 5% from Discover was icing on the cake! I was able to get 2 today... now to find 13 more friends with Kroger loyalty cards to max the Cashback Bonus! :)
